2025 was a roller coaster ride. Eleven days in we had to put our last pug down which was unexpected. The next few months went fairly smoothly. June saw us filling the void created by the loss of our Pug by adding Maggie our Boxer. We l’ve always had Pugs and our Great Pyrenees Hank so a Boxer was an unknown to us. She was a rescue which came with an unknown story which comes with its own challenges like separation anxiety. It was trying for a while but we all worked through it and she’s an absolute great dog. August I started a new job with a utility company I’ve been trying to get into for 8 years and at a position I’ve been waiting to open for 4 years. This is my dream job and all the waiting finally paid off. Two days into the new job we had to put Hank my Great Pyrenees down. That one still stings. August also saw 6poundbass starting high school (que the water works from Momma bear). 6poundbass started the high school football season as the freshman quarterback and was moved up to JV quarterback after one game and had a great season. November Maggie went to the vet because we noticed a lump and the vet said it was a mammary tumor and scheduled the surgery for December 23rd. November also saw 6poundbass start drivers training. December Maggie has her surgery which went well. Like I previously mentioned, 2025 was a roller coaster and I’m ready for 2026.

Any idea how big of waves you’ve been in?

1” of rain yesterday then the temps tanked, winds are howling to the tune of 40mph gusts, and so far only 1.5” of snow. We’re only supposed to get a total of 3-6” through Wednesday but the wind will make it seem like way more. They’re calling for 25-30’ waves on Lake Michigan which would be a sight to see. Already had one small tree come down behind our house. The next 24 hours will be interesting.

I have to be honest @Jigfishn10, it took me a minute to figure out the last part.

@gim it’ll be interesting to see how this winter plays out because it seems like it’s a month or to ahead of its normal schedule. Usually we have a weekend meter them a warms up time a cold winter and right now we’re three weeks ahead of schedule. If I had to guess, were I. For a hard winter.

@gim like always, our weather is a day behind yours. Sunday, we’re looking at 3/4” of rain and Monday, 3-6” of snow. Fun times!

Update on Maggie Tuesday she had surgery to have a mammary mass removed. The first couple days she was quiet and sore. Today she’s been more active and even grabbed one of her toys from her basket. This is her second surgery in five months and we feel awful we’ve had to but it obviously needed to be done. She’s been a great addition to our family and has been a wonderful dog. Even though I took her to the surgery, it doesn’t appear she hold it against me. 😁

Sorry for your loss @Eric 26. Rescues always seem to be the best and most loyal ones.

Michigan is finalizing a deal with Utah’s Kyle Whittingham.

So sorry to hear this! First we lose @Catt then we lose @WRB-2.0. Two great anglers and over 100 years of bass fishing knowledge we’ve lost this year. We should all be grateful these two shared so much of their information with us.

A little late to the party here. Let’s call it fashionably late. 😎 I don’t know what to make of the weather so far and for the foreseeable future. A white thanksgiving and a brown Christmas. Early snow and early ice. Now a warmup, but still frozen lakes with some even having safe ‘safe’ ice. I’m hoping for an early spring so I’m banking on the luck of the Irish and shooting for March 17.

I’ve forgotten to put the plug in before. Only made that mistake once. This next one I have zero clue how I did it but I did. I hooked the boat up, hopped in the truck, and took off. I made it about 20’ and heard and thumping noise and felt like I was dragging something. I walk back to the boat to notice I forgot to put the trailer jack up! Absolutely destroyed the wheel and bent the flange the wheel bolts to. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Well @Jigfishn10, I tried taking a page out of your book. Miller Lite was created by Joseph Owades who turns out is an Eastern European name which is nowhere close to England. A big swing and a miss for me. 😎
