Bandito Bug Review
My son (10) is a Googan fan and has learned quite a bit from them. He’s received a couple baits he got for Christmas from a grandparent, and he recently bought more Googan baits with birthday money. Here’s my opinion on what I’ve seen so far. The frog: It’s nicely done, flashy, and eye catching. I do like how the belly is painted and has flash to it unlike most frogs that seem to forget that’s what the fish see (even though it’s usually only a silhouette). The jigs: The jigs my son has (2) seem to be decent. I do like how they put the weight on the head. We’re just getting in to jig fishing so I don’t know if this is common, I’ve yet to see it on 20+ jigs I currently have. Soft plastics: they're soft plastics nothing groundbreaking has happened in the soft plastics in what seems like forever. All in all, they’re not bad, they’re just like everyone else. Everyone copies everyone and like I had previously said it doesn’t seem like anything groundbreaking has come out in the lure world in forever with the exception of a few here and there. My kid likes them as does my son's best friend. They learn from them, as well as other YouTubers, and it gets them talking about fishing, so I say it’s a good thing.

Pleasantly surprised
My Lightning Rod I was happy with is now sitting at the bottom of the lake we fished yesterday morning. My son was using it and decided to go from the front of the boat to the back, I heard a thud, and then hear “oh no”. I look back to see my Lightning Rod fading from my life forever! He tripped over the seat, hit the back deck, and there goes my pole. It’s been an expensive year so far, and we have another three months to go.

Any michigan guys here
We hit the water early this morning, nothing extravagant as far as big bass goes, a couple decent ones on a vibrating jig. 6poundbass was using my pitching setup, as he’s going to the back of the boat I hear a thud and “oh no!” I look back to see my pitching set up slowly disappearing from my life forever. We tried forever to try and snap it to no avail. The bright side of things, I’ve fished this lake for 12 or so years and we saw something I’ve never seen on this lake and never seen in the wild. We heard a funny noise and saw movement around the lillypads and thought a beaver, then it popped itself out of the water about 12 inches and realized it was an otter! We saw it 2 other times within a half hour, that was pretty cool to see and totally unexpected.

Post a photo a day!
This is a great frogging lake! I caught my largemouth PB on this lake throwing a frog. It’s best around late September when the pads start to wither.

Earthquake
I sure did. I like what the filters replaced my W-T-.... with as well. Lol

Earthquake
We had one in Michigan about 5 1/2 years ago. I was in my truck at a stop light and my truck was shaking, I initially thought it was wind but I didn’t see the trees moving. The other people at the light were looking around like I don't understand and we’re as clueless as I was.

Wait For It
This must be related to the Powerpole trolling motor because it’s been a rumor for about three years now and we’re still waiting for it to debut.

Hit the water this morning with 6poundbass. He got the skunk, I got 3, then a small storm blew in. This was the shot right as we launched.

There are two seasons in Michigan, winter, and construction season. I’m not ready for winter yet but I’m ready for construction/dig season to end!

Keeping Electronics Connections Dry
Ahh I see. My cables have the rubber caps, my cradle doesn’t, so I take my screen off and the caps on the cables go over the connectors.

Keeping Electronics Connections Dry
My non Plus Echomaps have rubber caps, interesting yours doesn’t.

I have to brag again

Fly tying....getting back into it.
I haven’t checked this thread out in a while apparently. Nice work fellas! I’m not a fly fishing guy, but I enjoy seeing the creativity from those who tie flies.

Daiwa Fuego casting reel
I played around with it some more last night. I’m getting a bit more distance that my Revo SX. I feel I have it dialed in pretty good, but everyone says they’re virtually impossible to backlash....maybe I’m just “special” because I was able to a couple times. ? I ordered the 8.x model. This is my first 8, I have a couple 7.3 Abu reels. The 8 is definitely fast, it’s going to take a bit to get used to slowing down when needed.

Check out my trail cam.
Nice bucks for sure. That top buck looks like he has some nice G2’s!

Daiwa Fuego casting reel
I ordered my Tatula last weekend, it said delivery would be 3 weeks. It showed up today! I’ve already spooled it up and cast it a few times (one of the many pluses of living on a lake). Feels like a pretty good reel. I still have to dial it in yet.

Siebert Jigs Questions
I just placed my first order, as a little birthday present to myself. I looked all over but didn’t find any decals for sale anymore. @Siebert Outdoors are you no longer selling your decals?

Did I get duped?
Turn the unit on, go into the transducer selection and see if there’s an option for UHD transducer.

Someone was looking out for them
Those boys sure are lucky.
