  1. Thankfully and I don’t understand why, but our humidity is minimal right now thankfully! It’s still sticky but not what it normally is when it’s 80-85.
  2. I agree, RAM mounts are the way to go. As far as the units go, it’s a Ford vs Chevy vs Ram deal. The more the consumer educated themselves the better off they are.
  3. It’s 95 here in Michigan and the water temps are pushing 90 on my lake. I fished a bit during mid day and then the wife and I spent 2 hours from 5 to 7 fishing. We both melted! The fishing was good but I don’t know how you guys do it! We have at least another week of this ridiculous heat. I tip my hat to you southern anglers!
  4. Nice bass!
  5. Launched our boat at our lake. 6poundbass is across the road pontooning on another lake, so I snuck out and fished for a bit. Pitching to a ten foot stretch of brush produced these two and three warmouth.
  6. Nice fish, congrats to him!
  7. Coeur d’Alane? I’ve never heard of this lake.
  8. This is what sets Wheelers apart from everyone else, he thinks about every aspect, every detail of his fishing, including the wrap on his boat! Chalk another win up for this guy.
  9. 6poundbass and I went to my mom and stepdad’s today and fished their pond. He caught a ton of bluegill and a few perch. He could have spent all day out there.
  10. That’s pretty darn cool!
  11. I’m not familiar with this, what does this do?
  12. You can create your own maps with the Garmin units.
  13. I’ve never really paid attention to the ‘ejection handle’ if you will on a trunk lid, until I was getting something out of our trunk today and I have to admit it made me chuckle.
  14. Not only can he find them, he can adapt to any format he’s fishing. Bottom line, Jacob Wheeler will be the greatest angler of all time! He may not have all the accolades of a KVD or a Rick Clunn because of the format changes (maybe this will be the new normal) but he will have won more money and more trophies than any out there. The guy is a strait up fishing machine and loves ever minute of it!
  15. Only use one of the centrifugal brakes (the internal brake), crank the magnetic brake all the way to zero, and fine tune your spool tension knob, and watch your lure fly. It takes a while to get it tuned in just right. If you add more than one centrifugal brake your casting distance goes to nothing. If you don’t use them, it seems you’ll backlash no matter what you do with the other brakes. Hope this helps.
  16. 10.5 hours and counting.
  17. I think there were around 20-30 BPT guys who aren’t fishing the FLW.

Did you get a new boat?
  19. Congrats on the new PB!
  20. Holy cow, I thought you retired and rode off into the sunset, it’s been forever since you posted!
  21. Happy with them yes, wishing and wanting bigger absolutely. Any chance you can wait until they get more 9’s? The Echomap units are absolutely great, but I don’t want you to be wishing a couple months down the road you got a bigger unit.
  22. Are your gift cards for a certain place?
  23. How big are your lakes? As you probably already know the Striker units don’t have preloaded maps but have QuickDraw so you can make your own, which if your lake is huge, could take you quite a bit of time to do. On the other hand if your lake is smaller in size or your spots you fish you know pretty well you could use QuickDraw and make your own and have a 9” screen to boot! I have two 7” Echomap units and I can’t wait to upgrade to 9” units. Hope this helps.
