  1. New PB, that I know of. I hate the snot rockets! I’m sure this is my pike PB. My bump board is 22” and he hung 4-6” beyond that.
  2. That’s a big house cat!
  3. Let’s fire this back up! I heard this song this morning on my way to pick up groceries. Great tune!
  4. They’ll be handed out by women’s health centers in the rural Midwest and they’ll be an Asian baby boom. *BREAKING NEWS* Recycled Vietnamese condoms weren’t properly sanitized.
  5. Wow! Nice fish. I had one of those strange good, but expensive days earlier this year.
  6. Those words have never been spoken to me! ?
  7. Years ago it would have fishing I’d give up for sure. Over the past few years I’ve started to lose the hunting bug. I still go for my son. I enjoy it, but I’m not bummed if I don’t get out. He harvested his first deer two weekends ago, which was really cool to see him do! I might get the bug again now that he’s able to hunt.
  8. There should be an edit button at the bottom of your post. There used to be anyways. Yup, it’s there.
  9. If I did that my wife and son would kill me for sure! ?
  10. 6poundbass has found himself a few new friends. They just showed up on our shore, my guess is someone dropped them off at the inlet. Our neighbor said they’ve been around for a couple weeks now.
  11. My first car was a ‘94 Chevy S-10, 2.2l, stick shift, metallic blue and had 13” polished aluminum wheels. I threw a 10” Infinity Cappa subwoofer behind the passenger seat and a Kenwood 400 watt amp under the seat. This is probably part of the reason why my ears constantly ring! Lol I was working at the local lumberyard and a guy came in with the truck, I just asked him if it was for sale and I got lucky and it was. My parents co-signed on the loan for it and I bought it for $3800 at 15 years old. My monthly payments were $95.05/month. I was pimpin’ in that truck! ?
  12. Cherry tomatoes, those thing were like candy to me as a kid!
  13. I ordered from them in August, it said 3 weeks delivery on my Tatula. Naturally I was very apprehensive because it’s 3 weeks! It came in exactly a week. I’ll order again.
  14. My wife isn’t in to essential oils, but she is in to natural remedies. Sometimes it works for her, sometimes it doesn’t. I call my wife a squirrel, her and her brain go a million miles a minute and she sometimes doesn’t fully read everything. One time she read about a cinnamon concoction that helps with this and soothes that. She proceeded to boil cinnamon sticks for her concoction and the next morning drank her brew. Later that morning her speech was slurred, and her sentences didn’t make sense one bit. I did a quick google search and found that too much cinnamon can actually kill you! She didn’t finish reading the instructions to her brew and added a couple too many cinnamon sticks and boiled them way too long. She spent the next 24 hours flushing her system out. We laugh about it now, but at the time she was lucky I’m able to talk to her while I’m working and figured out what was going on, otherwise it might have ended differently.
  15. Yeah I wasn’t too surprised it turned out dry, and I wasn’t surprised it was lean, considering where it came from. I had made a deal with my dad earlier in the summer, he buys a smaller brisket for me to do a test run on and I’d buy a bigger one and I’d cook for the family at the end of summer. When he told me the farm he got it from I knew it would be lean. Oh well, I got the flavor and smoke profile down, so I’m heading in the right direction.
  16. My fingers are crossed, not only for your sake but mine as well. I want to see some big green bass.
  17. Around Black Friday time you should be able to pick and Echomap Plus unit up in your price range.
  18. Change of plans, was going to fish tonight but realized yesterday, tomorrow is the youth hunt. Scouted deer, to bed early tonight, early rise, and hopefully a deer come morning. I would love to cook some back straps by the end of the weekend. We’ll be back to fishing next weekend.
  19. Yikes! Too close for comfort!
  20. That’s pretty funny and amazingly accurate! For you wondering, I’m “just happy to be in the middle”.
  21. It sure does. My son just started fourth grade 3 weeks ago! He needs to slow down on the growing up.
  22. This has been a slow year for me that’s for sure.
  23. Get a temp probe with Bluetooth, that way all you have to do is check your phone. Of course mine has a dead battery so I didn’t have it today. 1-1.5 hrs per pound at 225-250 is the general rule of thumb, so there isn’t much babysitting until the end.
  24. Well the brisket is finished and consumed. When I opened the package I knew I was in for an uphill battle because it was very lean, hardly any fat on it and no marbling. The flavor was good, I just used a 50/50 salt and pepper rub. I injected with beef broth as well. It turned out pretty dry. I think partially it’s due to the fact I pulled it at 203, so even though I let it rest for an hour it was a bit too hot. All in all I won’t say it was a failure, because it was my first brisket I’ve done.
  25. That brisket looks good @NorcalBassin! I’m doing my first one today.
