  1. My GP, Hank was going crazy the other night while outside. It was one of those, I hear something or see something barks. I go out to see what’s got him triggered. There’s a pack of coyotes carrying on like nobody’s business ?. No matter how far away they are or the fact that they’re only coyotes they still make you stop in your tracks.
  2. Merry Christmas BR family
  3. If your toilet doesn’t clean your butt then you are living in a third world country.
  4. Ahh I’m just north of GR.
  5. Sounds like first world problems.
  6. I’ll still pay, I promise. ?
  7. Will you accept 360 monthly interest free payments?
  8. Get a boat ordered so you can hit the ground running.
  9. The way these temps are I’m guessing all our ice on my lake will be gone by the time I get home from work tomorrow. It’s pretty grey right now and that sun is beating down on it.
  10. This year I spooled up fluorocarbon on one rod, the other 11 are all braid.
  11. One of these days I’m bound to find someone who will tolerate me.....I hope.
  12. Sounds like a cool idea. Where in Michigan is your buddy located?
  13. I’ve been really happy with my Garmin Echomap units. That being said, everyone is different so the best thing for you to do is go to a store that sells fishing electronics and try them out. Each brand is different. Hope this helps.
  14. Is that picture this year? We have zero snow here. First day of winter and it’s going to feel like early spring for the next week. Ice out will be probably Tuesday. ?
  15. Pretty simple confession for me. I still don’t know what the H-E-L-L I’m doing! ?
  16. Dickerson creek which is a tiny creek that runs through our county. The outlet (we call it the toilet) is a 48 inch vertical culver that drains under the road to the lake you see across the road from my lake. So there is current but not much.
  17. Here’s a google earth image. Up is north, the current runs from the north to the south-south east. I used the measuring tool on Google Earth and it’s about 4600’ from end to end.
  18. A little background. My lake is a tiny impoundment approx 50 acres. It’s long and narrow probably 3/8-1/2 mile long. There’s the main lake, the ‘narrows’ that we call it then the channel that’s also the inlet. The lake is VERY shallow average I’d say 8 feet. While out this summer getting acquainted with my SV Garmin I found the original creek bed. I kept zigzagging scanning this along a decent stretch of the main lake. It’s an average of three feet deeper than the rest. There’s no contour maps for this lake and my Garmins don’t have QuickDraw, so come spring I’m going to zigzag again and waypoint it so it’s clear as day. I don’t know squat about impoundments because they’re few and far between around here. I’m guessing this creek bed should be a good spot to target? School me on creek beds and impoundments.
  19. Are you going to use a live trap or a spring trap to exterminate the mouse?
  20. Because you will have the dad and child who want to give it a shot because it looked fun on tv. They will google the names on the anglers jerseys and they have a potential new customer. I guess there were new commercials too, but I skipped those. I sometimes google things I see on tv, or on vehicles out and about, or I hear on the radio out of boredom or curiosity. That’s advertising at it’s best.
  21. I heard Rick Pierce say that as well and I heard Mark and Matt also talk about the ABC coverage Sunday. They pointed out something I hadn’t thought about. What lures they’re using, equipment, what kind of structure they’re on, or pattern. This is geared towards the occasional angler or even non angler. They don’t care about the details, the non anglers attention span isn’t long enough to care about those details. I think the live coverage is geared more for us and the tv products are geared for the others that aren’t as ‘in to it’ as we are.
  22. We celebrate when it gets to 3*C this time of the year. I’m sure it’s he’ll on you down there though, you’re not prepared for it.
  23. 0* windchills today, almost 50 a week from now. Today’s the only real cold day.
