As far as terminal boxes go the Academy box has kept me satisfied. It’s pretty stout and a good price to boot. I will say those Gamakatsu boxes look appealing.

My dad grew up pretty poor for the first decade or so of his life. He said they were the last in our town to get indoor plumbing. This was the late 50’s early 60’s.

The pre rigged worm is what I started on and was a big producer for many years in my younger days. You can’t go wrong. Another good option is a popper. It’ll keep their attention because they can see the lure and can have fun making it pop. Once a bass explodes on it they’ll be hooked on fishing.

We got around 5” in three hours. It started at 6. My son was on the bus for a total of 15 minutes and they cancelled school. My normal drive of 35 minutes to the office took my just under two hours. The snow has stopped and the roads are pretty much clear again. Wild weather to start the day!

When I was going through my cancer treatments I had to stay in the hospital a week at a time and home two weeks. When there I had to pee in the bottle. It took me a few times of waking up, feet hitting the cold tile floor before I decided to try the pee in bed deal. Best thing ever!!!! I was glad to be done with chemo but sad that I had to start going to the bathroom in the middle of the night again. When my wife is sick she’ll talk in her sleep. I’ll text her what she says so I don’t forget what she says. The things she says is so hilarious and out of this world! 😂

There are times I miss sucker spearing. I had so much fun with my friend in our mid to late teens wading the rivers, holding a lantern in one hand, and a spear in the other. I’d like to do it again but I don’t eat them and I’m not going to waste them. I’d like to chase after walleye again just once or twice. NOT TROLLING THOUGH. I’m not a fan of the hammer handle pike. They destroy lures and are slimy. If it were a 30” plus pike, I’d make an exception.

You need to look in the rear view mirror once in a while to see where you’ve been. If you forget the past there’s a good chance history will repeat itself. That being said, if you’re looking in the past too long and not where you are or where you’re going you’ll end up in the weeds real quick and lost. Like others have said, it’s time to talk with a professional.

I average 7.5 hours of sleep. Some nights are a little less. Saturdays I try my hardest to take a nap mid day.

I’ve had pretty good luck with Garmin. If you want mapping I’d go with the Echomap series. If you don’t need mapping you can’t go wrong with the Striker series of Garmin. Garmin in my opinion will get you the most bang for your buck. At the end of the day you really can’t go wrong with any of the big three.

I heard a story on the radio yesterday about his song “angry American”. He wrote it to only sing on his USO tours and to only be performed for the troops. A high ranking Marine told him he needed to record it, so he did, released it and it was a huge hit. That was the last song he performed and if you listen to the words I believe it was his way of letting everyone know his time was limited.
