  1. This weekend I will be fishing with a friend of a friend. We will be fishing the Delaware River. Im fairly positive that he owns a bass boat and will also be fishing with his dad, making at least three people in the boat. This will be my first time in this situation. Looking for general advice and specific stuff too. I plan on bringing 6 rods, 1 tackle backpack, and a soft plastics bag. I will also bring a lifejacket and money for launch fees and gas. What Else do I need or need to know?
  2. Thats how i usually am, but this year my average is about 20
  3. i like yellow, but it won't match my reel

  5. Weightless worm, wacky rig, ned rig, dropshot, blade bait, spoon.
  6. It was definitely not beached, the bass was 15' from the bank
  7. As I am building my arsenal of tackle, I am pondering how to store it the best way. I fish from the bank and a jon boat. My backpack carries 5 3600 boxes. I have a terminal tackle, crankbait, jerk bait, topwater, and jig boxes. I have enough baits that I am running out of room to fit most of my tackle. I am thinking of switching to 3700 size boxes. One will have sim jigs, crankbaits, hard baits (topwater and jerkbaits), jigs, terminal tackle, and one for other stuff like frogs. I am between a few 3700s or lots of small 3600 size boxes. I want to try the flambeau wp5005 if i do the 3700 s or plano pro latch 3600 s if i go that route. thanks
  8. My area is limited to only small ponds, quarries (hence the name) and small lakes. Most are private property that I have worked to gain access to. I don't tell people about some really good spots, only family. I will share others though. Its up to you. keep some give some. give and take.
  9. Looking to spool my new Shimano Stradic Ci4+FA 3000 with new line. It will be paired with a 7'1" ML 13-NV-BLK. I will be using it for dropshots and ned rigs with exposed hooks. I like braid to a fluorocarbon leader. Usually 6-8 lb Seaguar Invisx. I want red braid to match my reel. I have read that red disappears fastest in the water column. I fish a lot of clear water, so stealth is important. Looking at Powerpro Vermillion in 10 - 20 lb test. Im thinking 15 or 10. What do you think?
  10. I was fishing a neighborhood pond today that I am allowed to fish. There is another pond connected to the stream that I now learned is private. I was walking in the woods, past the pond, in order to reach the house and ask permission, when I noticed a 3 pound bass lying dead on the ground near the pond. It looked as if someone had caught it and left it there to die. If that was done by an owner, I think its wrong, but they have a right to in a way. If it was someone else, its not cool at all. Why would someone do that. They let a nice bass go to waste. NOT COOL!
  11. I'm a little confused as to what you are saying. I think you are trying to say that there will be ice in the winter in NY. Is that right. PS thanks for your advice ! :)
  12. I have thought of trying it, less likely to hook the fish when it slashes the bait like topwater spook, but once you hook them, they will stay much better
  13. I'm kidding, but I'm sure it happened
  14. Roman Made Mother Triple - $500 out the door, lost it in to a pike second time i used it.
  15. I am currently in high school. I live in Southeastern PA. I have family in MA. I would like to live somewhere in the northern United States when I graduate college. I am looking for jobs that would allow me to spend lots of time on the water, but pay enough to allow me to fish. I would consider a cabin up north and living closer to home like South NY. Not sure and I have a long time to go. Just looking for advice. thanks!
  16. Thats exactly what i use, a VMC fastgrip, which has 3 barbs
  17. I find that using smaller worms gives me a better hook up ratio. When i watch video of people catching bed fish, they seem to suck the whole worm in. what are some things i can do to maximize my hook up ratio on smaller bass?
