  1. Hey If you decide you want to get one of them, I have a light casting rod in the Phenix Feather line for sale and I live in Chicago. I have two of the L and one of the ML, and love them both. Looking to sell off one of the L. They are pretty similar IMHO. PM me if you're interested.
  2. Hey, have they started using the mid size guides on these? Looks like it in some photos. The old ones were very small.
  3. Best: wacky worm spinner baits t rig plastics buzzbait swimjig Fluke
  4. 7'1" ML Tatula spinning rod, and a Tatula LT in 2500 or 3000 your preference. Well under your price range, and this combo will leave you wanting nothing.
  5. The three I had were the old Legend Tournament Bass casting rods, haven't checked out the new series yet. My Legend Tournament Walleye spinning rod is killer though, a favorite of mine.
  6. But most are tip heavy, which bothers me the way I fish. Tried a bunch, not comfortable for me.
  7. I would start with the IMX-Pro line MBR version (843 or 844) depending on how heavy of lures you want to throw. The 844 is my favorite 1/2oz jig rod casting and skipping. They are incredibly versatile rods. I either fish JWR or MBR rods, and the MBR can do it all. The JWR I like for jigs, swimjigs, chatter baits, t-rigs, spinnerbaits.
  8. The 844 is my fave 1/2oz jig, swim jig, and 3/8-1/2oz T rig rod.
  9. That 5” Savage Gear glide is great. I catch lots of bass and pike on it.
  10. I only use braid to leader with jigs. I find it the best way for the way I fish. I don't like straight FC or mono. I like straight braid for swimjigs too.
  11. Wow someone with a balanced outlook on fishing lines. Fishing line discussions on this forum get boring really quickly. The guys who say mono for everything, and really have to force that opinion on everyone else for some reason are really tiring. There is definitely room for everyone to use whatever the heck they want to. Kudos.
  12. Ever use the 742c for t-rigs or 1/4oz jigs? I have a Champion Xp 702 that works great for this stuff.
  13. You feel this rod is too light for 1/8 and 3/16oz head with swimbaits? I'm interested in this rod for light t-rigs, light jigs/grubs, and 3.5" belly weighted swimbaits. What do you think?
  14. Can't do better than a 7' medium Tatula rod.
  15. Nice. I have a grip of older IMX and GLX MBR rods, and new GLX and IMX-Pro JWR rods. I love the 852 in both GLX and IMX-Pro, the GLX is quite a bit lighter weight and more sensitive, but both fished side by side are beautiful rods. The IMX-Pro 853 is a killer 5/16-3/8oz jig and t rig rod. Love them all!
  16. I wouldn’t trust you as far as could throw you. You’d change the agreement as you see fit. Your style.
  17. COP OUT! ? Adding qualifiers after your statement doesn't look good for a smart aleck.
  18. Come on dude, you can't just make up rules. You just said you can fish for a week with out re-tying....that's it.
  19. Ok , you fish with one set up for 7 days with one knot and mono tell me how it goes.
  20. I bet you wouldn't have caught that fish if you didn't retie for a weeks worth of fishing.
