  1. Zappu Ichi and Owner are my two favorite wacky jig heads.
  2. Tell about the Silver Wolf. I only fish braid to leader, so it should be a good match for me. I'd probably use it for light jigs/t rigs with 20lb braid to 12lb FC leader. Any advice would be helpful.
  3. This weekend I caught a 3.5lb hybrid striper in 8lb braid/6lb FC leader on a light power spinning rod, and the drag ripping was pretty fun. I prefer BC gear for most stuff, but do love spinning gear too.

Looks like a few different head style Siebert has call brush jigs. Which?
  5. I do. I tend to use more natural colors, and bigger body jerk baits for LMB. The Trout Dynamic Travado is a favorite of mine, but is not discontinued. It's pretty beefy, but does great for LMB.
  6. It's a great skipping, jig/T-rig, swim jig, jerk bait, and fluke reel.
  7. He asked about the SLX and the Curado 70 K having the same frame. He didn't ask about the old Curado 70 and 70 K MGL. It seems confusing to write that there isn't a Curado 70 K, when there is. That's all I'm saying.
  8. Who's talking about different platforms???? He asked about the reels being different, and they are different. Why confuse the answer? I had both, and they most definitely work differently.
  9. There is a Curado 70K https://www.omniafishing.com/p/curado-mgl/gear ratio*8.1%3A1--retrieve*left?utm_medium=google-shopping-paid&utm_source=google&gclid=CjwKCAiAmJGgBhAZEiwA1JZolnYpQcAeuaxXJjYSr7IyObJdYbASYbJMeU7fjuULjCgqAhgFz1JwFhoCKdYQAvD_BwE
  10. The grey one is the model before the black Curado 70 K MGL.
  11. I’ve used a friends 6’10” Expride mh. I used it for 1/4-3/8 jigs, 3/8 chatterbaits, and 5” belly weighted swimbaits. It was great with these baits. That’s all used with it.
  12. I know it hasn't been mentioned in this thread, but it's also my favorite 1/2oz jig skipping rod too. The 844 is such a great rod for tons of applications. Congratulations.
  13. It's great for 3/8-1/2oz chatterbaits.
  14. The 844 mbr is one of my favorite rods. Great for 3/8-1/2oz jigs, dragging 3/8 t rigs with big worms, and big t rig creature baits like 4” pit boss w/ 3/8oz or 1/2oz weights. It’s a great swim jig and swimbait rod too.
  15. They're still available everywhere.
  16. I think you may have trouble with the 3/16-1/4 oz baits. The medium mojo bass rods are rated 10-17lb line 1/4-5/8oz baits. But try it
  17. I’m familiar with St Croix Premier M casting rods rated 1/4-3/4 which are fairly stiff rods. What other companies call medium heavy.
  18. I think a medium St Croix will be too heavy for your applications.
  19. Interesting the Rebellion Medium glass rod is rated up to 1oz. I would think it would have more butt to it.
  20. Hello. I'm looking at the medium for nothing heavier than 3/8oz chatterbox rods, and possibly some square bills. You think it has the power for this stuff? Thx
  21. I find line reviews of of fishing gear, to be the most useless. HOWEVER, I love reading them for the comedic content they produce.
  22. I'd go GLX 843 MBR too.
  23. Been buying from TW for years, never had an issue. Sometimes stuff takes a while to ship, and I am patient when that happens. If something got messed up like what you're describing I'd deal with it, not have a meltdown about it. I've had things like jigs missing a hook, different colors sent, but TW fixed all issues immediately.
