  1. You might poop yourself if you fished a Daiwa zillion or a Shimano met mgl. a reel that just works isn’t as fun to fish than a reel made for a rod company by some other company IMO.
  2. These are the best I've tried so far. They are very strong. I fish the MiniMax a ton, and have caught lots of bass and pike on them. I haven't had one open on a fish, but two times after popping it out of a snag the bait came back with the snap open. Size one https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Nishine_Lure_Works_Nishine_Original_Snap_20pk/descpage-NLWS.html
  3. I use my 735 for magdraft and 6.8” Kietech w/ 3/8oz weighted hooks that are a touch over 1.5oz total and it’s fantastic for these baits
  4. I bet it's a Megabass 110 ripoff I'd buy it
  5. No, those suckers are heavy
  6. Always. 3/0 superline hook
  7. All of these things. I like leaders because of the shock absorption and having better abrasion resistance.
  8. Same here. They sell quality weights
  9. I wouldn’t go that high. 15, 17, or 20 is the highest I’d go. I use 40lb braid to a FC leader/mono leader. when you use braided line, the diameter is thinner so you don’t have to use such a big reel.
  10. I use a Dobyns 735c and it’s a perfect rod for that bait.
  11. The Tatula 150 or 200 are better for your needs. The 150 is rock solid reel

  13. Every Pflueger both President, and Supreme I had (4 total) got loose feeling and then bound up after 2 years. Wobbly rotor on one. I guess I'm on the side of really not liking them. Zero issues with my Tatula LT and Stradic FK reels after years and years of use.
  14. My favorite rod! second is the 843
  15. I mostly throw the 1/4oz MiniMax. I've become quite the pro with it, catching lots of fish and some really nice fish too. My favorite setup with them is a Loomis 852 JWR, braid to 12lb FC leader. Steady retrieve, hopping it off bottom, reeling fast and letting it drop for a second are the three best retrieves with it. If I want to throw the 3/8 I go up a power in the rod, everything else stays the same.
  16. BOSS Dock Knocker jig head and some skirts. Save money while learning by making your own jigs. you will lose jigs if you are fishing in wood. This jig head come through wood great
  17. I’ve had the Dobyns 700, Phenix 7’1” light and the Phenix 7’1” medium light, and the ML is my favorite of the bunch.
  18. My best producing floater is a Rebel 3.5” broke back bait. Second is 4.5” Rapala original minnow, but they are so light it’s tough to cast very far.
  19. Lots of great stuff on AliExpress. dark sleeper swimbaits like keitechs mini cranks Cranks
  20. This one is my favorite too
  21. Check out the SJR series, they are like the spinning version of the MBR rods. Great tapers!
  22. - “should I get a Zodias or and Expride?” Bass resource- “get a Poison Adrena” ?
