  1. Jigs are kept in a Plano box, separated by weight and color. Heaviest at the hinge of the box, moving to lightest. Also by type. Arky, football, ballhead......
  2. The 6'6" 781 c looks cool. What I'd like to see is an IMX-Pro 851c JWR. That would be a killer rod, if it existed .
  3. I don't throw very light stuff with mine. I do use a GLX 842 mbr rod with a Daiwa Alphas Air tw for 1/16oz Neds up to 3/16oz shaky heads, and it's fantastic. Just curious to see what Loomis would put forth.
  4. Isn't it about time they designed one?
  5. You're asking about taking 1 minute to retie a knot? YES!
  6. This is your answer. Or you could try 853 JWR instead of the 843. No wrong answer with these rods.
  7. 8 or 10lb braid, either PP or 832. leader 4lb-10lb mono or FC. red lable, invizx, Trilene XL, or McCoy co-poly.
  8. I have two: Phenix Feather ML, Daiwa Alphas Air TW 8lb original PP to 6lb leader Loomis GLX 842 mbr, Daiwa Alphas Air TW 8lb original PP to 8lb leader im not interested in casting UL lures, my range is 1/16oz Ned to 3/16 shaky head. Also throw rebel minnows, pop r, 3/16-1/8oz home made beetle spins. lighter baits on the first combo, and heavier baits on the second.
  9. I don't see an issue here. Loomis 843 MBR rods are great do all tapers. Great with jigs/T-rigs, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, swim jigs....you name it. Your reel, line combo seems great.
  10. The thumb bar issue was from the initial release. It was fixed pretty quickly by Shimano.
  11. Yup, that’s the Zillion sv TW
  12. Buzzbait whopper plopper popper fluke spook
  13. I greatly dislike micro guides, but that’s because I always use braid to a leader.
  14. I don’t shop there, not even sure I’ve ever been in one. I just think you’re being over the top in your observation.
  15. I think you're being hyperbolic.
  16. I got a great deal on GLX 842. It’s the perfect rod for my needs.
  17. Keep the FG and change to San Diego Jam to hook/bait
  18. Great rod for lots of applications.
  19. I use both the Mini Max and Stealth for smallmouth. Both I use the same trailer, 3.5" Spunk Shad.
  20. I have two Alphas 800 reels that have been fished hard for two seasons, and are smooth as can be. They have been great reels for me. All of my Zillions have been killer too. Wonder what happened to your reels? Were you keeping them lubed?
  21. I've been using 8lb original power pro on my BFS reels: Daiwa Alphas Air TW. Works like a dream.
  22. Dragging a football jig. I sometimes do it in quick rod sweeps, the reel up, repeat.
  23. If people had an opened ended "freedom" to post what ever they wanted I'd be gone from the forum quickly. People can't even post about BFS or using braid to leader without getting upset and getting mean about it. If politics, or common sense gun laws were brought up it would be a $h!+ show in 5 minutes.
