Ned rod
I feel like a lot of people fish the ned rig on too heavy of a rod. I see a lot of people fish it on a medium spinning rod. For me my all time favorite ned rig rod is a Kuying Teton 6'6" light action rod. It has a moderate fast action, and will bend deep when fighting big fish. I very very rarely have fish come off with this rod. I match it with a Tatula LT 2000, 8lb braid, and 8lb fluoro leader. It's a very sensitive rod and has the perfect tip. It's crisp, but doesn't have too fast of a tip. I have caught many 2-4lb SMB, and a few 3lb LMB on it, keeps them pinned.

Those rods are nice.

Avid vs LTB in casting rod
I have firsthand experience with the LTB 6’8” mh rod, I owned one. I sold it because it was the worst balanced rod I have had. I had a Curado K on it, and it was so tip heavy it would give me wrist problems at the end of the day. I also have a 6’6” Premier M, that I kept because it feels better than the LTB rod. The LTB rods are beautiful, and put together really well, but that model was not for me.

Rebel humpback...
Not sure if you use eBay, but there are usually some available. I still buy them on occasion. Referring to the humpback Rebel.

Rebel humpback...
I have been since I was a young kid. They catch fish for sure. They have a distinctive wobble. I am a Rebel fan in general. I love the Rebel Humpy crank too.

I agree, I think the names they use are pretty funny. From what I see none of them are particularly sexist. Some are maybe a little too much for what many people view as a "family" sport, but I personally am not offended. I am a little surprised someone hasn't complained about it, I know there are quite a few religious members on here. The old package they used to use is pretty wack, but they got rid of that.

Yeah it’s pretty obvious by this Old packaging, and some of the other names they have That someone over there is a little dirty minded.

Sweet Beaver.....Why call it a "beaver" I always thought it was maybe "dirty" sounding, but it has become a standard name for that style bait. It certainly doesn't look like a beaver that makes dams.

I see a bunch of old Rebel minnows! Great as jerk baits, top water, and on a steady retrieve. You have some nice colors there too.

The good news for you is jumping up to the the $200-250 Daiwas would blow your mind too. The SV tw, and the new 2020 SV tws are so killer. Give one or both a try.
