Finesse jig rod help...
The best rod I've ever fished for that exact same application, as well as light T rigs is my G Loomis IMX-Pro 852c JWR.

2020 Zodias ML spinning rod mini-review
I just weighed the rod, it's 3.7oz. I got out today and caught some fish. I brought my Daiwa Tatula 7'1" ML rod, and the Zodias, both were fishing bottom baits. I would say they are both about the same as far as sensitivity goes. The Tatula had a lighter reel on it, is longer by 4", weighs under 3.4oz, and is still less tip heavy than the Zodias. Both are great rods.

2020 Zodias ML spinning rod mini-review
I just got the Zodias 6'9" ML rated 4-8lb line, 1/8-7/16 lures. I have been fishing with it two times, and have caught about 20 bass so far. This is the first Shimano rod I have used, so I'm not used to the ratings they use. I was expecting the rod to be less stiff than it is. It's an incredible rod though. I fished 1/8 shaky heads and 3/16 jigs with chunk trailers in a strip pit lake. The lake is deep, and the bass were hanging close to steep bluff walls right on the bottom in about 15-20', and biting lightly. The rod is very sensitive, and feels great. I used a Stradic FK 1000, 10lb braid to 10lb FC leader, and could feel the lightest bites, and slack line bites too. The taper is slightly slower than what I'm used to (Loomis/St croix/Daiwa), but feels good. I would not use 4lb line on this rod though, it's too stiff, and doesn't budge once it hits the backbone. I feel like it's ratings should be 6-12lb line, and 1/8-1/2, or maybe 5/8. Compared to my Daiwa Tatula 6'6" M spinning rod, it is slightly stiffer feeling. The Tatula rod is fantastic, it's light, sensitive, balanced, and is very comfortable. This Zodias is really comfortable too. I love the reel seat, and the rear no-grip is great feeling. Overall is an excellent rod.

Alberto vs FG
Interesting. I’m old, and the only real option was mono back then. I wouldn’t want to back to using it now.

Alberto vs FG
Why is that?

Alberto vs FG
Only use the FG, from 8lb Power Pro (which is super thin) to 8lb fluoro leader, and everything in between to 40lb braid and 20lb fluoro leader. I like it because I have never had a failure, and it's the thinnest knot I have found. I can tie it fast, and never have problems with it.

It's very comfortable. I never fished the older style. The back part of the grip disappears on my forearm, it's also very sensitive. The only thing that throws me about theis ML rod rated for 4-8lb line is that it seems heavier than that. It feels more like a rod rated 6-10 or even 12lb line. Nice taper. It has quite a bit of backbone for a medium light rod.

SLX MGL 70 Vs. Curado 70
That's harmful

SLX MGL 70 Vs. Curado 70
As far as the silver 70 curado goes, I think it was probably something in the design that caused the gear issue. Although it seems some people dont have the issue, or don’t notice it. As far as the pizza goes, I grew up in NY, so I miss my NY pizza, and don’t mess with Chicago deep dish style pizza.

Big Bite baits yo mama and creature
I checked on Amazon for a 100 pack in 3" green pumpkin, and they had it for $21 for the last bag. I should be set with these for quite a while. Great bargain on a great bait.T rigging them with a 3/16-1/4oz pegged weight catches tons of fish. I recently started catching some nice 5-6lb Chanel cats while bass fishing on them at a farm pond I sometimes fish. These have agreat action in the water. Never tried the creature bait.

Are you talking about the not yet released Curado K 70 or the older silver one?

Favorite power/action for bass spinning rod?
When I'm fishing spinning setups, I'm fishing lighter baits. Because of this my favorite is a fast/extra fast ML rod, 8-15lb braid to leader.

Diawa SS Tournament spinning reels
I used to use the SS 700 and 1300 all the time. The good points are they have a very good drag, they cast very well, line management is excellent, IMO they are cool looking. Bad points are they are kind of clunky when casting, the rotor sometimes will bang around during casts, and no instant anti-reverse. They aren't the smoothest reel around , but they do feel good.

Shimano Zodias rods 2020
I received my 6’9” ML today. I put a Stradic fk 1000 on it. It balances great, just at the end of tightening nut on the seat. Lure rating seems just right, but I would say it’s more of a 6-10lb line rod, than 4-8lb. Really clean build, guides are really nice, and straight too. The reel seat is very solid, and very comfortable. Holding the reel between my pinky and ring finger, I can rest my index finger tip on the blank. The taper is slightly slower than my usual fasts, but it’s a great taper. It will be useful for lots of presentations. Sensitivity seems good, it’s a nice crisp feeling blank. The back part of the handle disappears on my arm, it’s very comfortable. I haven’t fished it yet, but I really like it. It’s a beautiful rod. The hook keeper is under the reel seat, which is good for single hook lures. It may be weird for a two treble bait though. I haven’t tried it out yet.

They are great reels. I have 2 size 30 that are 5+ years old, and still working well. Drags are very smooth on them.

Sufix 832 vs Power Pro Super8slick
I've used both, and think they are both fantastic lines. Never had an issue with either. I have only used Super Slick V2, not the older version. I have heard the older SS V2 has some issues.

San Diego Jam knot
Hi SD Jam knot fans! I have never tied this knot, and fished it. Sitting on my couch, I find it quite easy to to tie. My question is how many wraps around the two lines do you guys suggest with fluoro? I use fluoro from 8lb-20lb line. I haven't been able to get out and fish for 10 days to be able to try it out. Thx.
