  1. Oh duh, I totally read it wrong. My bad.
  2. Tournament Tackle has some really good deals on select colors of these baits. Rapala DT4, DT6 and DT10 for $6. Berkley Frittside 5's for $7. Berkley Stunna 12's for $7. Strike King Menace Grub for $3. SPRO Bronzeye 65 for $8.
  3. No problem. If you go the Tatula route, don't forget to do this. https://daiwa.us/pages/tatula-aftco-promo
  4. What else came in the box? The reel retails for $210.
  5. I didn't experience any of that at all. I thought it was comfy.
  6. 45% off a $270 reel. I'd say you did good.
  7. Yep. I'd definitely check out the M/F if I'm wanting a more true MH/F. Their M/F is rated up to 3/4oz.
  8. I got the 7' MH/F, and I thought if was stouter than other MH/F rods. I actually used it a few times for closer quarters, open water frogging.
  9. I grabbed a Tatula XT when they first came out. I ended up giving it to a friend who really liked it. I can confirm they are VERY nice rods for that price point. And if looks matters to you, they're a beautiful rod with nice craftsmanship. If someone gave me one to try out and I didn't know the price, I'd guess it's a $150-$200 rod.
  10. It's weird they don't show the lure ratings on their site. They show 3 different 8' swimbait rods. A Heavy, Extra Heavy and Extra Extra Heavy. Now, on TW they show the Heavy, and it's rated up to 2 oz. So I'd rule that out. Now not all rod ratings are true to form. But I'd advise not throwing a 4 oz bait on rod rated up to 2 oz. You could always call them to get the ratings on the other two rods, and see what they recommend.
  11. Thanks guys/gals. My first chemo treatment is tomorrow finally. It got pushed back twice now. First time insurance hadn't authorized it in time, even though they authorized the surgery for the port placement a week prior. Make it make sense. So it had to be rescheduled. Then I tested positive for RSV, so they had to reschedule again. Finally, tomorrow is my first treatment. They wanna do 4-6 treatments. 3 weeks in between each one. They're hoping it at least slows the cancer down/prolongs it. I was able to get my boat out yesterday, which I really needed. Got a little winded at times, but not too bad. Really good therapy. I'm worried how I'm gonna feel with the chemo. Am I gonna feel like fishing? Will I even be able to, physically? Time will tell, I guess. Again, I love and appreciate EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU. I hope you all know that. 💚
  12. If it's TW, I'd always get to $150 so I'd get the free t-shirt. Explains why I could use a dedicated dresser just for all my TW shirts. Also explains why I have so many lures I don't even use. 😅
  13. You could be fishing right now if you ventured across state lines. I was able to get the boat out yesterday for a little while. Water temps 42. Didn't catch any. Lost one.
  14. So I notice this now comes in a different-looking bottle. And it's only 5 oz. The previous/original bottle was 8 oz. The kicker...they both cost $10. That's all. Just felt like ranting.
  15. Not 'his' rod, but...Ark Invoker Tour. Great rod especially for the price. They have a 7'6 MH/F which is labeled "swim jigs, off shore jigs, Carolina rigs". Not sure if this was the model he was using, but it sure looked like he was throwing his swim jig on the Invoker Tour.
  16. Impossible. That would be like eating the same thing for dinner every day of your life.
  17. What does an annual fishing license cost in MN? $20 here. Easiest $20 ever spent.
  18. May as well just call it an angling permit.
  19. What king of sociopath calls it an "angling" license?
  20. Exactly this.
  21. I usually put 12# Sniper on my squarebill/shallow cranking rods.
  22. I have a 3-piece PB Rat for sale in the flea market area.
  23. Yeah they're both legit. I've ordered from FishField many times.
  24. I clicked on this expecting to see an actual giant 3.5"-4" blade bait, not bladed jig. 😅 I don't think that market has been cornered yet. Something to think about. 😉
