  1. Really? Where'd you hear that about the sensitivity?
  2. Deal ends tomorrow. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-DOBROD.html?from=basres
  3. I prefer black rods I guess. Most of mine are black, minus a Croix Mojo, a Fenwick Elite Tech and a Cabela's Tourney ZX (which is black and white). Those bright green rods by that company we can't talk about is one of the most hideous-looking things I've ever seen.
  4. Well, I didn't wanna risk the sale ending tonight, so I pulled the trigger w/o the discount code. Have never tried a Pflueger casting reel before, but decided on the Patriarch XT. $100 for a $250 reel, why not? Read a lot of good things about it. Didn't really need another reel right now (especially considering I've been debating on getting the Curado DC). So with that said, to the OP, I don't know whether to thank you or to curse you.
  5. Thanks. I checked that last night when I signed up, and again this morning. Nothing.
  6. Dang. When I clicked on the link, a box popped up mentioning this. I just closed it out. I then created an account and joined their email, but didn't get any kind of email with a 10% off code or anything. And when I add a product to my cart it doesn't show either. Maybe I'll call them tomorrow. Hopefully the sale is still going on.
  7. FYI, and I'm sure you know this already, you can use it on Cabela's site as well. Tho by now they probably have the exact same things.
  8. No issues for me. I do get rid of the dividers tho. Really no need and they just take up a tad more precious space. The worm binders I posted are so much better IMO. They hold SO many more bags.
  9. American Legacy Fishing has 20% off Dobyns rods.
  10. I wonder why YZH doesn't make a green version as well as clear.
  11. My wallets thanks you all for snatching up all those Bandits!
  12. Same here. Got the micro guides version. As soon as I put it in my hands I fell in love.
  13. Like Croakhunter said, Dobyns actually runs light, not heavy. So if you want something along the lines of a med/heavy, I'd suggest heavy. The Dobyns Sierra is marked way down at TW right now. They are a step up from the Fury's, and are actually cheaper right ow. Many of the split grip/micro guides are sold out. But they still have the full cork handles in stock.
  14. My favorite topwater rod is the Mojo. Obviously the Avid is better if you wanna pay a little more. St. Croix Mojo Bass Casting Rod 6'8" Med/X Fast MJC68MXF - Topwater. This is an ideal rod for poppers and walk-the-dog type baits. Also a fine choice for tubes, grubs and unweighted soft plastics.
  15. The educated ones do.
  16. I mean, you mention high end gear under your location. ?
  17. Man, I put that motor to the test! I love me some slop.
  18. That's for the 3/4oz. The 3/8 and 1/2 are cheaper.
  19. Just an FYI, these come in split grip or full cork handle. The split grip has micro guides. Some may not know that. And every model is either med/heavy, heavy or mag-heavy. Except for one. And that's the 6'8" medium/fast in the full cork handle. That's what I'd go with if you wanted a rod for trebles. But for flipping, I'd get the 7'3" mag-heavy in split grip/micro guides.
  20. Love the TW flex fit hats. Jut noticed that have them marked down to $11 right now for the 25 Days of Saving sale (reg. $20), but they're all sold out. They're black, but they breath quite well.
  21. Love the Suicide Shad.
  22. Ah, good to hear! Thank guys.
  23. Just ordered the Dobyns Sierra 734C from TW. Regular $180, they had it marked down to $120. But first I I bought a gift card at 10% off. So in the end I spent around $108 for the rod. Anybody fish the Sierras? I have some Furys that I really like. How much of a step up is the Sierra?
  24. If you purchase something from TW that's on sale but out of stock, do you still get it for that price when it comes in? Or won't it let you place the order if they're out of stock?
  25. Sounds like you want an arky style jig. Something that'll come thru weeds easily? But it doesn't hurt to get a few different kinds. Check out Siebert Outdoors for a great selection and great quality at fair prices.
