Never used that particular rod. But I usually throw wacky rig on medium, but it can be done on ML, especially if the rod isn't a noodle. I like the extra power to get the bass away from the dock posts asap. I throw my neds and drop shot on ML.

Got mine from Omnia today. Fast shipping, as usual. One thing I notice is the front of the dorsal fin is 'closed' if that makes sense (I'll post a pic). On the Dark Sleeper, the front of the dorsal fin is open. This should make it more weedless. But if it affects the hookup ratio, you could always just cut it. I don't think it will, tho. It's quite soft and collapses pretty easily.

TW put this out yesterday. Not sure if it's legit or made up to get people to chill out. I find it interesting tho because the order I placed (May 30) had about 40 items. 10 of the items arrived yesterday and the rest hasn't shipped yet. And the ones I received came from the CA facility (where the outage was supposedly at), so...

My only guess is that that half is at the other warehouse and they aren't on the ball/are busier than the warehouse where the others were shipped from.

Placed a TW order last Monday (May 30). Half of the order is supposed to be here this Thursday (June 9). The other half hasn't even shipped yet (all in stock). TW has the best selection of all the sites out there. But if I can get stuff elsewhere, I'll try there first. TW has really gone downhill.

FYI, on the newer models, be sure you know the difference between the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee. The Grand Cherokee would tow what you listed with ease. You wouldn't even know you're pulling anything.

Hmm, I've never had that issue. I keep them in a plastic Plano box. I don't use them a ton but I know I got at least 3 years out of my current ones.

I'll use small clips for crankbaits, but never jerkbaits.

The Fluke and Caffeine Shad were my go-to's for years. This year I've also been fishing the 6th Sense Flush and really, really like it. More durable as well.

Agree with NavyToad. I'd definitely go with a med-heavy. You can still get the 7'2" med-heavy Expride A at TW right now, and you'd get the 15% off. It's a very versatile rod.

The 7'2" med-heavy TP-1 Black is a nice rod for the money. Nice grips too if you like the Winn grips. Also, it weighs the same as my 7'2" med-heavy Expride's.
