  1. I don't know yet I haven't had any of my new rods out on the water yet. I just got the 4 rods last week. Hopefully next week I'll be out on the water. The Falcon I ordered is the 6'11" Heavy Casting, "Bayou" Froggin/Pitchin. It is a very nice rod, very good back bone. It is very light, I think it was about 4.0-4.1 oz when I checked my digital scale. Very high quality rod for sure.
  2. Might give Dan a try. http://www.reel-ex.com/
  3. I like using the 703 for stick baits, smaller jigs/spinnerbaits,texas rigs The 705CB works great for crankbaits, lipless, jerk baits
  4. You don't need a high dollar rod for buzzbaits & spinnerbaits, they are going to hook them selves when they bite it. I think a 7' MH should do you fine. I don't think you need to spend $150 rod for what lures you're planning to use. But it is your money, you can get a rod & reel for $150.00.
  5. Yeah I meant spare drain plug. I don't normally plan on having to replace my spark plugs on the water, but I guess if a guy has some spare time why not.
  6. Items I always have in my boat that are essential tools for me. Many people might not think of some of the most important things when your out on the water. -PFD/Lifejacket -Rope -Bailing devise -Whistle -First Aid Kit -Sunscreen -Toilet Paper -Split ring pliers -Multi-Tool pliers -Scissors -Measuring device -LED flashlight -Scale -Nail Clippers -Small tool set -Small screwdriver set -Spare Reel -A couple spools of line -Plug Knocker -Spare Drain Plug
  7. I change a large majority of my trebles, most of my baits are #4 & #6 hook size. I usually buy them in bulk 100 pack for around $20-35. If you're replacing hooks get yourself a pair of split ring pliers also.
  8. Received my 3 Champion XP rods today.
  9. My rod/reel lineup, with my lonely spinning setup.
  10. Some of my favorite trailers not exactly grub but similar are Rage Tail, BioSpawn Vilebug, Zoom Fat Albert. Popular colors for my body of water: Black/Blue, Green Pumpkin,Watermelon, Pearl/Pearl Flash.
  11. Buy one of each and decide which one you prefer.
  12. I would recommend Falcon BuCoo SR. I would go with the 'Trap Caster' & 'Lizard Dragger'. You can get these 2 rods for about of $130-140.00. If you're looking for a couple rods for a great deal I would recommend them. https://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/products/falcon-bucoo-sr-rods?_pos=4&_sid=ae47a2269&_ss=r
  13. I'm can't remember what oil I have currently since it is missing the label, but using Cal's universal grease. I think a lot of people like TSI-321 synthetic oil.
  14. I normally use #1 snaps, I purchased mine on ebay. Less than $2 for a 100 pack. It should be a long time before I have to buy anymore.?
  15. Daiwa Procaster 100H, still can get the job done. I still have it, just in case if you need a backup or pond fishing reel. It has caught a lot of fish in 15 years of work.
  16. I prefer the feel in hand, exterior adjustment and knobs with the Daiwa reels. I've also had them apart for cleaning/service so they are a simple reel to service. All my Fuego reels only cost me anywhere from $65-75 for my Fuego models, Tatula 100 $100.00.
  17. I've had Daiwa & Shimano, now I only have Daiwa's.
  18. I just use Lo-Vis Green Stren mono on 2 of my rods for crankbaits & lipless baits. Other than that I have braid on my other rods.
  19. 1. Local Made company & MegaStrike Cavitron/ Colors: White, Chartruese, Black 2. Trailer Hook usually, but if I have a bait missing a skirt I'll put a frog/toad on it.
  20. I mainly use senko style baits, I prefer it because it has many more choices of rigging besides just texas rig & wacky rig.
