  1. It appears the JDM SS SV103 also has the same inductor as the SV103, so if anyone with that spool is interested in a swap, let me know!

I had PRK done since I was borderline for my cornea thickness. Since the healing was a lot longer than LASIK, I did eyedrops (Refresh Advanced) for almost 8 months. Just keep up the eyedrops, and try not to abraise the healing skin over your cornea.
  3. Berkley makes a 6' M pistol grip rod per their website: http://www.berkley-fishing.com/berkley-rods-casting-rods-berkley-lightning-rod/berkley-lightning-rod-casting/1447330.html#start=2
  4. I do 6 loops, I think the key is instead of cinching it down to the hook first, you can pull the wraps up toward the tag end to make sure they're laid next to eachother correctly first, then cinch down.
  5. Great price - your link reflects a referral code. Nothing wrong with that, maybe just disclose it.
  6. I just pinch the line down with my thumb and index to keep it in the T-wing channel.
  7. I believe you're allowed to say Academy Sports. And yes, I wish I had one near me too! That's a steal.
  8. I checked the size of the Zillion SV TW inductor, it's about the same as the SV105. The SV103 inductor is definitely beefier than both, which is what I'm looking for. I'm not familiar with the R+ inductor, but ideally I'd like to just swap with someone since it'll benefit both reels (IMO).
  9. As many SV103 owners know, the stock SV103 spool is quite restrictive. On the other hand, I found the SV105 too be a little too free, and even going from controlled to wild in 1 click of the mag dial. The inductor on the SV103 is about 1mm longer, and definitely thicker than the SV105, so I swapped them, and it made a world of difference. The SV103 now bomb casts, and the SV105 is more controlled. I'm looking for people with SV103's that would like to try swapping inductors with my SV105's. I have 3 SV105's that I'd like to get swapped. PM me, I will pay for your shipping via USPS so that there is no cost to you. Edit: It appears the Daiwa SS SV103 spool has the same inductor as the SV103.
  10. Evegreen OB 68 Magic Gill popper.
  11. Hit Widewater this afternoon and got no bites on a Spro BBZ-1 slow sinking shad. Water wasn't too muddy, just a little stained, but it's up from where it was this summer/fall, but not back to the full water height. Basically it's still about 2 feet under the water line on the far rocks, but most of the structure along the trail is submerged again. I'm not sure if that was due to the rain we got or if it's a function of the lock management. Hopefully it stays like this and pre-spawn will be a good bite.
  12. If my memory serves me right, it's specific items. I recall the big knock on the TW Classic sale is that it seems like most of the "sale" items are not in-demand items. I also think they skipped the tax stimulus sale last year too.
  13. First fish of 2020, a stocked trout at Needwood. MD DNR had stocked 750 last week. The water was muddy, and there were a lot of people fishing for them. Only one other guy had caught one on power bait. I got this one on a small inline spinner near the long boat dock.
  14. Keitech makes this.
  15. You can also contact your local boy scout troop. They usually do a flag retire ceremony at least once a year. My sons troop does it every fall.
  16. I have the 7'3 Zillion MH/F G2 too, and I prefer the 7'2 MH/R for chatterbaits. I lost more LMB on the 7'3 when they headshook or jumped. Braid on both rods.
  17. Yes but the one you linked below should be similar, but I don’t have that particular model. I like the TAEL reel seat over the Zillion as well.
  18. I'm using the 7'2 MH/R Zillion G2, it has enough tip to rip the bladed jig through grass when needed.
  19. I like the Aird-X, but I don't think the taper is comparable to the Tatula XT. I don't have a Tatula XT, but I have several variants of the Tatula OG, Tatula Elites, and Zillion G2's. The Aird-X is outstanding for the money, but the 7' H/F taper is a little slower than my Tatula's in any MH/F or H/F sticks. My guess is the Aird-X uses more resins in the blank, and isn't as "crisp" as the Tatula's. That's not a bad thing though, I actually like how the Aird-X is a little slower for close quarter frogging.
  20. I wonder if they'll put the Zillion on the 100 platform, and give it a free floating spool and shoot up the MSRP to $350.
  21. They do have the 6'3 XML available and it's on sale. I have that one too but it's a little faster, might actually be better for smallies. I use the 6' for trout/panfish creek fishing. https://www.cabelas.com/product/CABELAS-XML-SPINNING-ROD/2601275.uts?slotId=0
  22. I use a Tatula 1000 on a Cabela's XML 6' L/F and it tosses 1/16oz mino-spins up to wacky senkos. Love the rod but they stopped making them.
  23. When you angle it in, can you fit another car next to it? Or will it take up both sides of the garage? My wife would not be happy if she couldn't park inside the garage.
