Yet another storage question
I kinda get around that by marking the treble bonnets with a sharpie for the depth, and for color the lures kind of stay in place in an open core when packed with other lures and carried in a flat position like your Shimano pack. For spinnerbaits you could put them in heavy duty plastic bags since they lay flat and put them in the side pocket which you don't have much stuff in, it'd work but wouldn't be as nicely organized as it would in case. I have the Daiwa tactical fishing pack but it uses 3600's and they lie flat too which I love. What I do is put together 5x 3600 kits before I go out fishing to cover what I think they will be hitting on. I try not to be too redundant in my presentations and try to cover topwater, bottom contact, and stuff in between, dependent though on time of year and body of water.

Yet another storage question
Maybe open core 3700 boxes? Put hook bonnets on your trebles, or use rubberbands and link them together so they're not snagging other lures.

Second Year Set Ups
#4 - I would make this my whopper plopper/buzzbait rod #6 - I'd use it for frogs, but could also work for heavy t-rigs.

Maryland get together
I'll start the organizing two events: Event 1 - Fishing Extracurricular Event: whiskey, cigars, tackle making, and other fun stuff. I'll host this at my home on the back patio with a bonfire (close to I-270 and Falls Road exit). I'll provide smoked ribs, 10yr Laphroaig, and German Bier if you don't do whiskey. You bring cigar(s), your favorite tackle set up (so I can drool over it), tackle if you want to trade, and whatever else fishing related. Tentative date is Sun. Jan 20th (most have MLK off) and back up date is Jan 26th...before it gets too cold and weather permitting. Event 2 - Central MD Fishing Event: Black Hills or Piney Run I think we'll have enough people with boats and/or kayaks to get off the banks. If not, Black Hills has ample bank/dock fishing, I am unsure of Piney Run though. Looking at the FOBA 2019 schedule, dates that would work in the spring would be Sat 5/11 or 5/25. Here's a list of possible attendees so far: Event 1 - @Munkin, @reason, @Junger, @fishwizzard Event 2 - @Munkin, @fishwizzard, @reason, @Logan S, @Junger, @Somd Fx4 Please PM or reply with the following: Event 1 - if Jan 19th or 26 work for you, and if not what dates would work (keep in mind Feb/Mar may not be that pleasant to sit outside) Event 2 - if you have a boat or kayak, and which venue you prefer (Black Hills or Piney Run), and if those dates would work for you, or alternative dates. NOVA folks welcome too!

Looking for some plastic treble hook covers
I bought these off Amazon. They grip the shank well, and they have the circular tab piece that makes them easy to remove off the hooks. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B017I9JF1A/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Maryland get together
Or smoke some cigars, drink some scotch or bourbon, and trade some baits on my back patio next to a bonfire? I'd be down for a fishing get together as well, but between the rain and dropping temps, not sure how much fun that'd be.

The Rico Blems were limited stock, so they won't let you order them when out of stock. Other items that are out of stock, but expect a restock shipment will have a date they expect it in stock (such as Jackhammer 3/8 oz Brett's Bluegill on Jan 5). You can order these and they ship when they get them in stock.

What size President would you put on a 7' ML rod?
I have a President 30 that came with a 6'6 Cabela's Tourney Trail combo, and it balances fine. I find that it's a little smaller than the Daiwa BG 3000 and Penn Battle II 3000 that I also have. What line are you going to put on it? If I were choosing between the 25 and 30, I'd consider line size too.

Line Stretched ---> Reduced Line Strength?
If you stretched out the fluoro, would you respool? I think Catt is saying he does a respool every other trip...doing a full respool every other trip for me would get out of hand cost wise! Same, I have 1200 yards of mono spools so I don't mind changing them out 2-3 times a year, but I only use mono on 2 reels...maybe I need to change that. I can feel you twitching from 20910. OK, that makes more sense...way more economical than straight fluoro. But yeah, I use mono on my popper rod and changed that out once this summer after I saw weird kinks in the line in the first 20 yards.

Rod Selection: The Basics
I have the KK twin tip 7' casting rod (M/MH) and 6'7 M/F spinning rod. I like them both, but really like the 6'7 for $42 (sale price). I tried to pair a KK Centron 2000 with the 6'7, but felt the build quality was not great. For a little more money I like Pflueger President spinning reels. I returned a KK Speed Demon 6'8 Jerkbait casting rod, only because I found the handle length longer than my liking, but the build quality was good, no idea about sensitivity though.

Line Stretched ---> Reduced Line Strength?
OK, that's what I'm kind of getting at in my original post. I may switch some of my rods to braid + long fluoro leader to keep that peace of mind too. Do you do full fluoro respools? That would be costly! I think I found the Tackle Tour fluoro review and where it talks about elongation: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewfpiintropg2.html They do not directly test a stretched fluoro line vs the original line breaking strength though.
-
Line Stretched ---> Reduced Line Strength?
Do you re-spool every other trip based on personal preferences or because of a specific reason such as stretched line? Curious because maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I only lost one fish on a hookset this year and it was on frayed line near the knot that I knew I should have re-tied.
-
Line Stretched ---> Reduced Line Strength?
Do you recall the name of that study? I tried google and I mostly just see knot breaking tests with fluoro.
-
Line Stretched ---> Reduced Line Strength?
So while it's too cold to fish, I'm playing barbie-doll house with my tackle. I have a couple reels with mono and fluoro that I spooled this summer. I recall snagging them both and pulled on them hard to get my lures back, ending up with either bent out hooks on the light wire stuff, or snapping the line (which happens most of the time). My gut tells me that I probably stretched out 20-30 yards of line to the point where the line strength is reduced, and maybe I should remove that line to be safe. What do you guys do? Use the line and take the risk, respool, or cut out the stretched line?

1" gulp minnow under a bobber. I know you said he gets bored of a worm and bobber, but with the gulp minnow, he can put a little action on it to entice bites.
