  1. @Susky River Rat, I'll have to look. My beautiful wife and I were on our way out when I checked the mail so I didn't have time to look at it seriously.
  2. Got mine today. Don't really need anything right now, but that's never stopped me before. Got several gift cards for Christmas. Always love it when the new catalog is delivered. Edit, didn't have time to look at everything, but looks like BPS has dropped the prices on their boats (Nitro, Tracker, etc) $1000.00 to $3000.00.
  3. @A-Jay, when I was around 12 years old I lived right outside of Escanaba for three years. My dad's job sent him up there for some project on their papermill. Anyway, I was amazed at the amount of snow and all the big trucks and other equipment that they had! Side note, caught my first smallie and only northern pike while there. Your pictures always take me back!
  4. As I've mentioned before, I now live in southeast Arkansas, nine miles from the Louisiana border. Last Sunday night/Monday morning we got a whopping 2" of snow topped with a lite covering of slushy ice. Our mail didn't run until Friday, schools been out all week, stores and restaurants closed for the majority of the week. "They" say that it's not cost effective to buy any removal equipment. SMH!
  5. Glad I could help, Go Big Orange! Sounds good to me, Butt Smokers. I like it!
  6. Kinda like smoking a pork butt, low and slow with a bunch of finesse and luck thrown in
  7. I agree with you. Irwin Jacobs tried boyd's route years ago, didn't work out for him either. Found out that it was better to sort of work with B.A.S.S. than against them. I was a member of both organizations.
  8. Dakota Ebare and Randall Tharp along with the others that bailed on mlf in favor of B.A.S.S. are smart men.
  9. Exactly what I was thinking.
  10. Good one Ken!
  11. RIP Mr Gadbois. The few times that I went ice fishing as a teenager I worried about the ice breaking the whole time. "I wish to arrive at my death late, in love and a little drunk." Atticus
  12. What @Hoosierman said. I had a cousin that became disabled (now deceased). She tried twice, once with her MD's help. She was denied both times. My niece was married to an attorney and he agreed to help for free. Approved on the first shot. Every pill head, alcoholic, etc can destroy their body and get approved straight out of the gate. There are many healthy folks out there that get disability benefits too. Good, honest people like your wife, Hoosierman's wife, my niece and others that are genuinely disabled have to jump through the bureaucratic hoops and play the governments game.
  13. While I'm no Saban fan, @Tennessee Boy is 100% correct, no denying his success. This Tennessee Volunteer fan won't miss him one bit, but as an SEC fan I want Alabama to make a good hire. If he retired due to this new age of college football, I don't blame him. I don't like what it's turning into either.
  14. Happy New Year's Eve day!!!
  15. I pay $10.50 for my annual fishing license here in Arkansas. My trout license is an additional $10.00. This will be my last annual as I turn 65 next year. At that point, it's another $10.50 for my senior citizen license and another $10.00 for the senior citizen trout license. Last one's I'll have to buy.
  16. I'm with @gimruis 100%. Don't have FFS, as of now I don't need it to catch bass. Can I afford it, sure can but I won't buy it. Like I've said before, if it gets to the point that I have to buy FFS to catch bass, I'll have one heck of a bass fishing yard sale. As always, to each his own.
  17. I've done it twice. Once years ago and then again last spring.
  18. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
  19. My condolences Ken. I'll be thinking about you and your family @MN Fisher. I know that you have great memories of your father, hold on to each and every one. Steve
  20. Non-ethanol for me too.
  21. I agree, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!
  22. I'm with @RipzLipz, I love catching big bluegill!
