BPT - Stage One
Don't confuse my utter disdain for the mlf organization and some of it's leadership as a dislike of the angler's. I have friends that fish the bpt and whatever it is that mlf calls the former FLW trail. Like @TnRiver46, I too dislike the format. All of that said, congratulations to the angler's that are catching big one's.

Goodbye to a Good Friend
@TOXIC, I'm sorry for you loss. RIP Cobey.

BPT - Stage One
I'm not an mlf fan whatsoever but you're 100% right, this could be interesting. We're having warm days and cold nights right now. The first month that Bussey was reopened, there were two ten pounders caught. To my knowledge they were released. There are some big ones in there. I live a little north of there in AR.

Final round is on Bussy Break.

Cheap Reels
Yes, Bass Pro Shop Pro Qualifier reels. They are pretty much bulletproof. I'm assuming they still have a one year, no questions warranty.

crawdad boat
It really shouldn't be a problem, those things were well made.

Anybody tried these yet???
It's all I can do to turn loose of $25. to $30. for Megabass. $1000+ is way out of my league, but they nice looking.

Greatest Album Titles of All Time
They're a regional touring band. At least they were pre - covid. They've opened for a few pretty big acts. Hopefully the new album will do as well as the last one.

The band that my oldest son is in new album, 400 Cigarettes.

Sardines
Nope, not me. My dad loved sardines in mustard sauce. I tried them, couldn't spit that mess out fast enough! Like @813basstard said, "I'd rather eat the can."

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Two Garmin Striker Vivid 7's. One SV for the front and a CV for the console area. I say it like that because my 16" X 50" is a tiller. Strike King Red Eye Shads, several packs of Gamakatsu ewg trebles for various crankbaits.

How well do You deal with getting skunked?
I deal with it pretty well. I don't like it but I learned a long time ago that you can't win them all.

First Foray Into BFS
I've seen "BFS" mentioned before. I've never heard of it before. Sorry to ask, but what are we talking about? @bulldog1935, thank you for your reply. As I was told years ago, "There's no stupid question, you'll never know if you don't ask".

Insurance Pictures
Brother, I'm not disagreeing with you at all. In fact I don't have a clue how a lot of that works. I was just saying what my agent advised me to do. Heck, it would have saved me the better part of a day to not fool with it!

Insurance Pictures
My Allstate agent told me to take pics and keep a written inventory of all lures, rods and reels. I even show deletions for lost lures if I don't replace them.

Risky topic…what are your personal biases???
Probably my only fishing related bias is fluorocarbon line, I hate it. I tried it when it first came out, I've tried it again a couple of years ago, still don't like it. As far as my other real life biases, not gonna mention them. Right after Zoom's owner, Mr Chambers (?) passed away they went through some serious production issues. I read some where that they had "righted the ship" and were doing better.

crawdad
My Crawdad had a hull ID number and a Coast Guard decal but I don't remember where it was. I'm assuming the hull ID was on the transom, possibly melted into the plastic.

Me too.

Would you purposefully keep a spawning fish?
Nope, no way.

The Measure Of Success
I am very much a Henry David Thoreau, "Many men fish all of their lives and don't realize it's not the fish that they are after." kind of guy. My apologies to HDT for possibly butchering the quote. I love the peace, solitude and the challenge that bass fishing, particularly river bass fishing, brings. Now, that said, don't get me wrong. I absolutely love to catch bass, especially big 'uns! I also enjoy chasing big bluegill and trout, but I digress. I used to fish a lot of buddy tournaments but stopped because it stopped being fun. Just like when I raced stock cars, when it quit being fun, I stopped doing it.

Your Total Years
My first memories of fishing are around 1964, bluegill fishing on Norris Lake in East Tennessee. I would have been five years old then. My dad was a Boy Scout leader then and we were on a camping trip. I vividly remember him and some of the Scout's. I continued to fish off and on from there. Fast forward to the mid 80's, I bought a house next door to a huge tournament angler. I was racing stock cars then, but he took me out several times and I started getting more and more serious about my fishing. I quit racing in 1990, sold a brand new race car, trailer, one ton van and all of my pit equipment. Bought a boat and got really serious. I'm 62 now, still serious about my fishing, but I don't go quite as much.
