  1. We have several members from the area that fish both lakes. W#hen they see you post, they will give you some specific recommendations. Otherwise, I have fished both lakes and don't find them noticeably different. Since the lakes are a part of two different river systems, water clarity, pool maintenance and release varies.
  2. No doubt Big O's original designs offer something special. The Rage Tail Shad, Anaconda, Space Monkey and Smokin' Rooster are specific examples. I like the Lobster and Baby Craws, too! My frame of reference is based on a very biased preference for GYCB products which I still fish a lot. I think the imaginative design (profile) and action of the Rage Tail baits separate them from the crowd. 8-)
  3. The X-Rap performs best when fish are very active. The lure is designated as a "slash bait" by Rapala. The attached video demonstrates how the lure is designed to be fished: http://www.rapala.com/products/luresdetail.cfm?modelName=x-rap&freshorsalt=Fresh 8-)
  4. Target bigger bass and you will still catch some of the smaller fish. If you're really after "numbers", fish smaller (4") worms. 8-)
  5. Hmm... That's some sound advice! 8-)
  6. WOW! That's quite a haul. 8-)
  7. You don't "replace" the CH50MG, you simply add the Core 50MG to your collection! 8-)
  8. The Lamiglas SR705R is THE BOMB! This is the perfect rod for deep divers and heavy treble hook lures. I have mine matched with a CTE200GT. 8-)
  9. The Curado 200E7 compares favorably with the more expensive Shimano models. I consider the Curado a "Best Value" reel that anyone would be very happy with. 8-)
  10. Nice post and a happy son. Congratulations! That's a great day. 8-)
  11. Great post, in the money or not. 8-)
  12. Here ya go: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1158577137 8-)
  13. Hey Buddy! How 'bout a GYCB Senko on a Flooger? (No bites this weekend, seriously.)
  14. Hmm...Just need a bigger boat... The bait seems tough to me. If anything, I would like it softer. I really don't know how many, but as long as they are 5lbs+, I just don't care! 8-)
  15. You need to spend some time in the BassResource Library, "Fishing Articles" and "Tacklebox" at the top of the page. Your question may be serious, but a bit naive. Review the site before posting, please. :
  16. That is my favorite, too! 8-)
  17. Not me... 3/8 oz Cavitron Black on Black. 8-)
  18. Stand always, but an occasional sit to rest. 8-)
  19. CONGRATULATIONS!
  20. Hmm... A little BS or a lot? Dude, get a clue. We have a few members that have been around the block more than once. :-X
  21. Soft plastics on an Evolution Shak-E2 is an option. This jig head will keep the trailer off the bottom and out of the gunk. I like a variety of trailers, but you can simply use your favorite. 8-)
  22. WOW! Nice pic, too! ;D ;D ;D
