  2. Violation of well known, standard rules. Where's the controversy? :-[
  3. Hmm... Some how I missed this earlier. Nice fish, great pics! 8-)
  4. I don't leave home without 'em! 8-)
  5. Geez! Great pics, too! 8-)

    Welcome aboard! 8-)
  7. I think your idea is great, but wonder if there is enough demand? Offering this option in addition to standard guide services might be a better business plan. Instead of tipping your hand talking with the local guides, I would run the idea by Randall and George Welcome. Another thought: It also seems to me that the key to success for the guides I know personally is repeat business, long-term relationships. Here again, the standard guide service might be more important over time. 8-)
  8. EXCELLENT POST!
  9. Nice fish, but a little dated...Time to up the ante! 8-)
  10. Oh...You share so much helpful information with us you might not remember posting that trick. If you had told me this "in confidence" I wouldn't say a thing. 8-)
  11. Another story I've heard, but can't verify, is that Rat-L-Traps attract fish to an area. Supposedly, the vibration and sound extends well beyond the range of sight and will stimulate curious bass to check things out. Anyone else heard this? 8-)
  12. Well now, very nice, but it's the inside that counts! Kinda like NASCAR running those "stock" Chevys, Fords, Dodges and Toyotos. 8-)
  13. Ultra Soft is more manageable, but that isn't really an issue with baitcasters. Original Hybrid blends better with water so I have gone back to the original formula. For gin clear water, the green blends best; for stained water, smoke. 8-)
  14. Ain't that the truth. I have a few years of Senkos stocked and I'm not sure what the average price has been. It's probably not as cheap as The Natural, but less than $5. Back to GYCB Senkos... That's what I fish and I think there are advantages that justify a higher price. Try GYCB soft plastics and see what you think. If it turns out you have wasted a few dollars, so what? Fish what you like, GYCB works for me. 8-)
  15. Well now, I don't know whether this is good or bad, but I wish I could spend more time on the water than on the keyboard! Maybe that happens as we move into spring, I sure hope so. It's great to be a part of this Forum and to know so many fine people. My hope is we can all meet at one time or another, maybe at one of the BassResource.com Roadtrips. Cheers to all!
  16. I would be the perfect weight if I were 4" taller!

  19. Well, this is an ongoing argument...I think you might be surprised at how many more bites you have with mono, copolymer or fluorocarbon line or leader. However, I do not think it is nearly as important with "moving" lures. 8-)

  21. I have never fished the lake. If you have an extra seat sometime, I'd like to go with you. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior 8-)
  22. Grubs are in the same class with jigs and plastic worms: bass never get "use" to them. I prefer GYCB 5" Single Tail Grubs. Great tail action and plenty of salt. I like to slather MegaStrike on them, too. 8-)
