  1. Now...That's funny! Especially on this Forum where we get to see real big fish fairly often. I'll be interested to see what some of our "Big Bass Boys" have to say. 8-)
  2. Agreed...So, to keep it that way...Thanks everyone! Good night Irene.
  3. Jig or soft plastic, on or around structure, in deeper water. For big bass, wear a hat and bring some water: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. 8-)
  4. Now that's what I call "Politically Correct". Great response! 8-)
  5. The NRA supports (timely) background checks AND training. I am in total agreement with Catt on this (and just about everything else!). 8-)
  6. Nothin' to talk about...Balance is everything! 8-)
  7. Okay, I checked. Their "records" are bogus. Kentucky is listed at 8-7, but they share the World Record with Tennessee (11-14). On that site Tennessee is listed "unknown". How can the World Record be "unknown"? The site I listed for you is the OFFICIAL State of Michicigan website. I think you can trust their listings for all species. 8-)
  8. The bass are already wet! Fishing the same lures you would at that time of day is fine, but cloudy skies or rain opens the opportunity to fish "low-light" lures, too. Topwater, jerkbaits and buzzbaits are some additional options. Good luck! 8-)
  9. I don't think you "need" any other colors, but I don't think the color makes much difference anyhow! Pick colors you like, I'm sure they will work as well as any someone might suggest. So with that...My recommendation is "dark", that's my favorite color! :
  10. Cheers to The Shimano Posse! http://unattributed.net/html/whiskey.html 8-)
  11. 9lb 4oz W.F. Shoemaker Long Lake 1906 http://www.michigandnr.com/MasterAngler/MasterAngler.asp 8-)
  12. Uni to Uni or Blood Knots are fail proof. Otherwise, don't use a leader or don't use braid! 8-)
  13. Welcome aboard! Spinning tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.009" diameter. 8.5 lb breaking strength) Baitcasting gear: Ultra Soft #12 (.013" diameter, 19.5 lb test) 8-)
  14. Nope, not for a thorough cleaning and lubrication, which it sounds like you need. For rountine "oiling" you simply oil all moving parts on the exterior of the reel. Unless you have been trained or are very mechanically inclined, I would not open the reel. The other solution is to find someone locally to do the work. 8-)
  15. With spinning, right index finger over the support. With baicasting, left index finger over the trigger. Fundamentally the same. 8-)
  16. Yes. Also, spray your filler spools. 8-)

  18. C'mon...Outfishes live bait 4:1, may be outlawed in tounaments... Two guys fishing at one of Mexico's top destinations caught 4000 bass in three days with an "average weight" of 23 lbs!

  23. Nope. The overwhelming majority of people on this Forum don't like or fish Gulp, they just haven't responded and generally passover any thread with "Gulp" in the title. 8-)
  24. WOW! I have never seen that before. Thank you! 8-)
