  1. Great story, great pic and nice fish! 8-)
  2. Use the cardboard core from a roll of TP. Make a short slice with a knife to slide the line into. Wrap the line around the cardboard and either hook the roll or reinsert the line into the cut. 8-)
  3. Welcome Aboard! Spend some time reading through "Fishing Articles" at the top of the page. Start with "Beginners" and read all the articles and links! This will get you started and provide a good base to build on. Here is a suggestion to get you jump-started: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1158577137 Good luck! 8-)
  4. ;D ;D ;D ;D CONGRATULATIONS! ;D ;D ;D ;D
  5. The CI201D will be fine if the size suits you. I am "medium size" for just about all clothes, gloves and shoes. I generally prefer a full-size reel. I fish some smaller reels on light equipment, but that's the exception, not the rule. http://www.deloscustomtackleshack.com/reels/shimanocitaca.html 8-)

  7. I think you will be surprised at how fast accuracy and distance improve after a very short time. Just continue to practice and it will come. 8-)

  10. Great post! Good pics. Nice fish. 8-)
  11. Relax...things will go smoothly. Bring what you like, but I will have snacks and drinks for our cabin. I consolidated a bag for what I'm taking, then downsized some more for a small plastic box for everthing I plan to fish. Rods and reels are not a problem, either. Bring what is easy on the plane, we have a few guys with extras! Pack one suitcase, you don't need everything you own. 8-)
  12. Woo-Hoo! Looking forward to seeing you next week. I hope you will break your record again at Guntersville! 8-)

  14. Wow! Nice fish. 8-)
  15. The worst part of Michael Clayton was the Perry Mason ending where everyone just capitulates. Man, the finish just left me flat. A total waste of time as far as I was concerned. >

  21. Those little wiggly things your big bass puke up when you get them in the boat! 8-)
  22. Most bass are not shallow this early and that far north. When they are shallow, I think they are just "visiting". Work the breaklines offshore, especially ledges dropping from 6-8' into 15+ depths. Right now, Rat-L-Trap type lures, jerkbaits and jigs seem to be the ticket. 8-)
  23. Dude! Go see a doctor. 8-)
