  3. I suggest waiting a while and saving up a little more money. The new Stradic 2500FI was awarded the 2008 ICAST "Best In Class". The design incorporates features previously found only on a Stella. This is more than just a significant improvement, it represents a new generation in the long history of outstanding Shimano fishing reels called "Stradic". 8-)

  5. In the context of this section, "Smallmouth Bass Fishing," that might be considered a BIG fish! :
  6. I consider a "Professional Tournament Fisherman" someone who has committed to providing his livelihood by fishing in organized competition. 8-)
  7. Wrong. Live bait might improve your chances, but it is never a "sure thing." 8-)
  8. An example would be a ledge adjacent to a gravel flat. The relatively shallow water on the flat would have immediate access to deeper water. Bass will stage along the drop. 8-)

  10. Some Lucky Craft lures are almost always on sale (not advertised, but in-store specials). I was specifically looking for some more Yo-Zuri RatlN' Vibes, but no deal! >
  11. Of all the lures you might purchase, a spinnerbait is the one that you are least likely to lose. Buy a better lure and fish it for years! 8-)

  18. I honestly don't know if a bead actually makes any difference, but I always use one. Additionally, I rarely (never) fish a T-rig pegged. 8-)
  19. If you fish jigs where they are suppose to be fished, an exposed hook is going to get hung. If you are fishing from a boat, a lure retriever will recover your jig more than 90% of the time. From the shore you are simply going to lose jigs. As an alternative, GYCB Hula Grubs, T-rigged and weedless are one suggestion. A Gitzit rigged the same way is another. Both baits are very comparable to a jig. 8-)
  20. Only happened once to me. That was my first and last tournament. I never looked back. >
  21. The phrase is "technique specific". http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141187546 8-)
  22. I would suggest a 6 1/2' or 7', Medium Power/ Fast Action spinning combination. 8-)
