  1. MUST HAVE http://www.booyahbaits.com/booyah-one-knockertm Like most every fisherman I started with the classic Rat-L-Trap, progressed to XCalibur Xr50 and then the Red Eye Shad. The Booyah One Knocker is an addition that everyone should carry. Some days this specific sound is a game changer!
  2. http://www.investopedia.com/articles/exchangetradedfunds/09/spdr-etfs.asp Fees are nominal and you don't pick individual stocks. The investment performance will match very closely to the S&P 500. http://performance.morningstar.com/funds/etf/total-returns.action?t=spy
  3. A few of us are gathering at Pickwick next week: UPDATE Roadwarrior DinkyColoradoFire - Tent CampPete Krv8apilot boatMosster47
  4. WE HAVE IT ALL RIGHT HERE: https://www.bassresource.com/content/search?SearchText=pitching&BrowsePageLimit=30
  5. Technique specific gear will help a little. Rod: Medium Heavy Power/ Moderate or Slow Action Reel: 6.0:1 or slower (I like 5.0:1) Line: Monofilament (#10 or #12 Sunline Shooter Deifer Armilo)
  6. You catch too many fish drinkin' beer and gettin' sunburned.
  7. Yep... If you are into multi-species and salt, this cannot be beat.
  8. Well, I'm rooting for red or blue, but the lighter colors seem to have the advantage. Watching paint dry beats the heck out of grass growing...and then there's basketball...
  9. The Ned Rig is NOT just for small fish and numbers. I have had great luck at some local ponds for the past several weeks.
  10. My choice during the summer would be the Great Lakes. or more specifically, Lake Erie. Catching 50 or more 3-5 lb smallmouth every day trips my trigger. And with just a little luck you might catch a big fish or two!
  11. I have a number of brands in use, too. This is what I like right now: Mainline fluorocarbon for a jig rod and weighted soft plastic: Seaguar Tatsu #12 & #15 Braid/ fluorocarbon leader: Seaguar Smackdown/ remnant Tatsu or AbrazX #17 for baitcasting; spinning: Yo-Zuri Hybrid #6 or InvizX #8. Treble Hooks: Sunline Shooter Defier Armilo #10 & #12
  12. Try a spool of Seaguar Smackdown. http://www.seaguar.com/freshwater/braid.html
  13. I like the Bomber Square A, but my #1 producer is the Norman Fat Boy (Redear pattern).

  15. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Swim-Jig-902.htm 3/8 oz Siebert Outdoors "Swim Jig" For trailers I use the Rage Tail Shellcracker, Menace, Space Monkey and Structure Bug.
  16. Well, we should be able to bump that up a few pounds. Most of the Memphis Pond Hoppers are catching 4-6# on the local ponds. Double digits are possible. -Kent
  17. No problemo...When do you want to fish?
  18. I will take you up on both offers. When Downunderbassin comes to town we can all get together, EVERYONE is invited. Pickwick, maybe next week? Can you fish during the week?
  19. You could catch both, but we will be fishing for largemouth bass.
  20. My connecting knot rarely breaks, so I only retie before every trip.
  21. You don't need to buy anything. If you like some of my stuff we have the Crown Jewel of BPS in downtown Memphis for things you can take home. For our outing I will have everything you might need.
  22. I will take you out. PM sent. -Kent a.k.a roadwarrior Global Moderator
