  1. KVD Line & Lure Conditioner has NOTHING in common with Reel Magic. Reel Magic is basically silicone spray which washes off on the first cast. On the other hand, KVD bonds with the line and lasts for as long as you fish the line.
  2. Tuf-Line #30/ #12 AbrazX/ Alberto Knot. I start with about 3' of leader and replace as needed.
  3. Have you tried Smackdown yet?
  4. Seems like I have said that about a few others when they were first introduced. Baby Craw, Lobster Rage Rigged, Menace and Cut-R come to mind. Right now The Bug is killin' 'em!
  5. To cool!
  6. Megabass Pop Max https://www.google.com/search?q=megabass+pop+max&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=D8GFU9zvEtOQqAaO34HYCw&ved=0CDsQsAQ&biw=1536&bih=884
  7. Well, try just one spool of Tatsu and see what you think. It comes on sale occasionally for $28.
  8. I still need to try some other presentations, but I'm killin' 'em Rage Rigged!
  9. Norman Fat Boy (Redear)
  10. Passenger Pigeon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passenger_Pigeon With today's wildlife management controls this bird could be secure in its environment and still provide excellent hunting opportunities.
  11. Favorite "purple worm" Rage Tail 10" Thumper, blue fleck (purple) http://www.ragetail.com/news/10/the-rage-tail-thumper-a-10-inchplatic-worm-with-more/
  12. This is how I fish flukes: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/how-to-fish-the-double-fluke-rig.html
  13. Unless the fish is mortally wounded, immediate release results in nearly 100% survival. The biggest issue I have observed is tournament fishing with bass held in the live well when air temperature is high. There was a terrible instance at Falcon (B.A.S.S.) a few years ago and we (BassResourse Roadtrip) observed a massive kill at Kentucky Lake during a FLW tournament. With today's technology an easy solution in my opinion is video recording, weighing and imediate release. The weigh-in could be staged like a rock concert with all the bells and whistles.
  14. The perfect bream: Siebert Blind Date, Wide Gap, Bluegigg/ Rage Tail Shellcracker, Honey Candy http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Siebert-Tournament-Widegap-Jig-023.htm
  15. I think the key phrase is "every contest that I have entered."
  16. Spend some time reading "Fishing Articles" and all the links. Mix in the "Videos" and take notes. Then when you have specific questions ask for suggestions on the forums.
  17. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/pinnacle-optimus-xlt-dhc-review.html For deep divers, the Lamiglas SR705R is THE BOMB!
  18. Well, I understand your thinking, but my take is different. I wish I had the advice available here on BassResource when I was just getting serious about bass fishing. With advice from experienced fishermen I could have saved thousands of dollars over the years, My advice is to save your money and buy gear that will advance your game and last virtually forever.
  19. It's pretty stiff for mainline, but just fine for leader.
  20. I have been on this for a couple of years and HIGHLY recommend that everyone take a look.
  21. Cabela's had the Stradic CI4 for $180, but they are sold out. If you shop around this Shimano spinning reel should be available in your price range. The FJ has been highly recommended, but for some the weight differential might be the deciding factor.
