  1. I bought a dozen, but it's too pretty to fish and I can't keep it out of the rocks!

  11. Geez.... You just made it to our "Best Of BassResource.com" listing. I've been married for 35 years and this is some advice I can still use! Thank you happyhappa, that is outstanding! p.s. Here is an idea for you: Buying Christmas gifts for women is a challenge for men unless they are told EXACTLY what to buy. No shopping, just buying. So, you might consider a new rod & reel for yourself. Tell him you would like a St. Croix Avid AVS68MXF/ Shimano CI4 and 600 yards of Yo-Zuri Hybrid #12. That will surprize him!
  12. Tebow makes the Broncos the talk of the town. As an individual, he is a solid citizen, great athlete and now a starting NFL quarterback. He has added a lot of excitement to the season and deserves all the credit for Denver's success. There are only 7 or 8 elite quarterbacks in the league. Tebow may not be in the elite group yet, but he is on top of the other 25 guys playing quarterback in the rest of the NFL, at least when it comes to excitement!
  13. WHOA! They are saying it is not an earthquake.
  14. For all single hook presentations the rod should be "stiff". My preference is Medium Power/ Fast Action. Specifically, mine is a St. Croix ES70MF. Other recommendations: St. Croix Avid AVS70MF, AVS68MXF and Dobyns 683C.
  15. In Tennessee I believe the rule is 3 hooks, which can include treble hooks.
  16. Yesterday was HUGE!
  17. I have never noticed any difference with or without rattles.
  18. Geez! That's a beauty.
  19. Welcome aboard! Look back through this section, there are lots of tips!
  20. #1 was 7 guys fishing with me and catching their PB...Updated 12/18 BassResource.com 2011 Roadtrip Fishing with new friends and especially Big O & Steezy Attending my first professional bass tournament (LBAA at Old Hickory), especially since two of our ladies were competing! ( Keri May & Debbie Warner). Fishing with Glenn and "hanging" with both he and Keri Fishing with ghoti and Long Mike Fishing with so many guys in the Memphis area, especially 00 mod
  21. We're on the same page! I might change out the reels and would go with #12 on the baitcaster.
  22. Jeff didn't mention "The One That Got Away". While on his honeymoon, Dude goes fishing (moron). Anyhow, although he caught a GREAT fish, he fought the Jamacian record marlin for more than an hour. Equipment failure lost the prize. Great year buddy!
