  16. Nope, I never have used them. A buzzbait is generally most effective fished in, on or around heavy vegetation. I catch plenty of gunk without a trailer. The second thing is this: bass miss lures and peck at some. That is not the case here, most strikes are decisive. Let your rod load before setting the hook and you're good to go. 8-)
  17. I doubt it, but I think crappie are in full swing if that's what you want to target. "Bud" is the local King of Crappie, he can tell you when, where and how. Send him a PM and get him on the phone. CJ, Greg and Deb are probably on top of it, too. -Kent
  18. No kidding! The point is "anything" works around here in the spring. Pick your favorite technique, lure and color. So, what's the trick? The usual suspects: location, location, location! Then we can talk about depth, profile and retrieve. Still, the fish are active when we have current, so find some fish and you will get bit. 8-)
  19. The Tennessee always fluctuates! Current is the deciding factor, year around. It's almost spring, the fish are on a tear and almost anything will produce a bite. Right now "moving" baits/ lures rule. Suggestions: Jerkbaits, shallow cranks including lipless, Norman Fat Boy, Bagley BII, LC (RC) 1.5, 2.5 & 3.5, Bandit 100, 200 & 300, Bomber Square A and Swarming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad. In low light, eaqrly and late: Cavitron Buzzbait, Rage Tail Shad, Megabass PopMax, LC Sammy, Zara Spook or any of your favorite topwater lures! The Swimming Senko and single tail grubs are also a "sure thing". Even the the primary focus is shad, you can never overlook soft plastics, especially in the middle of the day: Smokin' Rooster, Space Monkey, Thumper, Anaconda, MegaStrike Mega Bug, Senko, Fat Ika and of course, the Rage Tail Baby Craw! 8-)
  20. PB: Norman Fat Boy (redear) Most consistant: 1/2 oz black jig/ Rage Tail Craw Fewer bites, better size: 3/4 oz GMAN MopJig/ Lobster Lifetime Achievement: 6" Senko Projected future winners: Smokin' Rooster, Anaconda, Thumper 8-)
  21. The Rage Tail Eeliminator rules! 8-)
  22. Baby Craw, naked. 1/0 bait hook, 1/8 oz weight, unpegged. 8-)
  23. Keep looking, this is no "deal". :-X
  24. The combination has produced a lot of bass for me the last 18 months, both green and brown. Several BR members have seen the lure in action! 8-)
