  1. Silver Buddy, Gay Blade, Little George and silver or white lipless crankbaits. However, #1 by a mile is live baby crawdads! 8-)
  2. Swarming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad p.s. You will need to buy a Shimano reel for that rod. G. Loomis GLX rods are allergic to Floogers, Diwawa and Abbdabadoos!
  3. 3/8 oz. Cavitron, black on black 8-)
  4. Thank you, that's a very nice offer. Congratulations on the bass. If 9-10 lbs doesn't get you jazzed about bass fishing, nothing will. Good luck to you, sir! 8-)
  5. Nah...Dude just gets lucky! :
  6. C'mon...It's "PRIME TIME" in the southern states. Step up to the plate and fish for giant bass! You have all year to chase baitfish and trash fish. "Bass fishermen" are targeting 10+ and posting a few in FL, GA, TX and CA. With a little effort, you should be able to land a few, too. If you are ever going to fish freshwater, now is the time! :
  7. Interesting...Tatsu is MANDATORY! :
  8. The Curado 200E7 is the perfect all-around baitcasting reel. If you shop around and keep an eye on our Flea Market, you can probably pick one up for ~$150. 8-)
  9. When you don't have a clue, the simple solution is to fish points and around grass. Regardless of how heavily these obvious spots get hammered, they (almost) always hold a few fish. 8-)
  10. Congratulations! No one here likes people just posting for numbers, but we like to see meaningful participation. 1000 posts over three plus years is a milestone in my book. Keep 'em coming! -Kent
  11. We (BassResource.com) are friends of TT, that was not J Francho's point. As an experienced servicer, he took issue with this particular article. -Kent
  12. We have about a few thousand posts stored for you here: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1121531245 Goodnight Irene. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global moderator
  13. And the hits keep comin'! Beautiful fish! p.s. You have a variety of rigging instructions on the RageTail website, but would you describe exactly how you were rigged for these fish? Also, please give me a call when you have a minute. -Kent
  14. Here ya go: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1158577137 Read the articles in the boxes at the top of the page: "Fishing Articles" and "Tacklebox". You will also find the threads in "Best Of" BassResource.com helpful. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?virboard=Fishing_Tackle_ID;num=1253486034 Good luck! 8-)
  15. From the same guys that brought you "No Doc Loans". How's that working out?
  16. Location, broadly defined is everything: structure and cover, depth, bottom composition, slope, current, water temperature, weather and time of year to name a few factors. However, other things come into play. Look no further than The Classic. A bunch of Pros found fish on virtually the same spot, then fished nearly identical lures. There is someything to be said for presentation. ;D ;D

  18. Spinning tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 Weightless and lightly weighted soft plastics. Especially Senko, Fat Ika, Hula Grub, Rage Tail Baby Craw and Slug-Go or flukes. Baitcasting gear: Hybrid #12 Everything else, especially "moving" lures. 8-)
  19. Weightless soft plastics almost exclusively. This is my "go-to" rig, matched with a Stella 2500FE. I generally fish Yo-Zuri Hybrid #6, but it is currently spooled with Tatsu #8. 8-)
  20. Great, Great, Great...Grandfather? http://manhattaninfidel.com/__oneclick_uploads/2010/12/300_movie.jpg
  21. Small: 3 1/2" Mizmo Small Jaw or Gitzit Large: Mizmo Grande http://mizmo.com/ 8-)
  22. 3/02 13 flood gates open yeasterday, but we still managed more than a dozen bass 2 1/2 -4 1/2 lbs. The fish were about half and half, brown and green plus a drum and full grown whitey. Water flow 58,000 CFS early, MUCH greater, later. Water temperature ranged 49* - 52*; visibility ~3-4'. We fished a range of lures both hard and soft. Winners included a grub on jig head, Kut Tail on a MegaStrike Shak-E2 Pro Series, Rage Tail Baby Craw and Swarming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad. No strikes on jerkbaits or any cranks other than the white bass on a lipless Spro Aruku.
