  1. Spinning gear: Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 Baitcasting gear: Hybrid #12 8-)
  2. Well, you might be surprised. A lot of new reels are over greased. I have my new reels serviced when they are brand new. For some, the improved performance is remarkable. 8-)
  3. Nissan has a plant in Tennessee, just outside Nashville. I have an Altima that was built there. Their facility in Canton, MS is the largest automobile plant in the world! 8-)
  4. George Welcome http://www.imaginationbassin.com/
  5. :-[ Oops! Guess I should have looked at page 1. ;D ;D ;D
  6. Just start with a couple of Pointer 100SP. Pick your favorite pattern and then mine, Baby Bass. If "blue" is productive for you, Auora Black is another suggestion. http://www.luckycraft.com/luckycrafthome/Products/jerkbait/pointer100sp.htm 8-)
  7. I have had some luck with the GYCB Swimming Senko. 8-)
  8. These are modern day Gladiators. The "season" is what they are (over)paid for and what we (the peasants) expect to see. If it's 16 games plus play-offs, I expect an effort for at least 16 games. Both my Broncos and Titans played to the end, although it hurt me that Denver didn't show up when it counted. For both the Colts and Aint's to concede their final game(s) is disappointing.
  9. This is what I use: For everything 1/2 oz and under: St. Croix Avid AVC70MF For heavier spinnerbaits: St. Croix Legend Elite 70MHF 8-)
  10. Hmm...Nothin' to talk about. The last "magic lure" prior to the Senko was the original Floating Rapala. Unless you were there, you just can't imagine renting a lure! 8-)
  11. Gamakatsu 3/0 EWG 8-)
  12. Jake, I am still on my first Cavitron, 3/8 oz black on black. I have a matcher and some other colors plus a few 1/4 oz. The lure is beat to a pulp. I asked Bobby if I should retire the Cavitron. He advised me just to bend it back into shape. I think it's more interesting to the fish now than new! As long as this particular lure continues to produce, the rest never get to play. 8-)
  13. I'm a big fan. I gave all my other buzzbaits away. 8-)
  14. Dalton Special, c. 1955 I still have the lure. http://www.daltonspecial.com/Dalton_Special/Home.html
  15. Now, that's a great story! ;D ;D
  16. "What he's really upset about is that 35-13 defeat Navy handed his Tigers" No...pooh-pooh! Missouri didn't even show up for the game.
  17. The Calais is built like a tank. If matched with the right rod (well balanced) you wouldn't notice the weight. I have had mine for a decade...It will NEVER wear out. This reel defines what Shimano is all about: Strong, smooth, silent and reliant. 8-)
  18. The E7 is a much better "all-around" reel; E5 is "technique specific". 8-)
  19. I wouldn't pretend to know better than Russ or Gary Yamamoto, but I find fishing the Hula Grub T-rigged and unpegged to be a better option. Fishing the bait on a jig head with the exposed hook is a rock magnet where I fish. T-rigged, the bait can be fished weedless. 8-)

  21. Watch out guys, I'm REALLY going to try. Sometime in June? -Kent
  22. Ya'll will enjoy this read: http://www.insideline.net/weeklynews/2009/09-1012.html 8-)
  23. I fish five G. Loomis and six St. Croix (4 Avids, 2 Legend Elite). My suggestion is to buy the GLX for bottom contact and Avids for "moving" lures. My collection was built over a decade, so what I have and my recommendation are not 100% consistent. This is how I would roll if I were starting from scratch. 8-)
