  1. Sportsman's outfitters has Dobyns Champion HP and Champion XP rods on sale now.
  2. I don’t know what your budget is but I would buy the biggest screen you can afford. If you run split screens it will be hard to see on a 5” unit.
  3. Another vote for medium. I have a MH Mojo and it’s pretty stout .
  4. I use the graphite Tatula M/R for lipless and shallow to medium divers as well. I like it a lot better than my Fury 705cb. Have you thrown deep divers on your MH Glass? I've been looking at that rod or either the heavy.
  5. The Rapala scissors have always worked great for me.
  6. I’m looking at the Tatula 7’4 heavy glass rod for deep diving cranks. Anyone have any experience with this rod?
  7. Fury 705cb works pretty good for me for shallow and mid diving cranks. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the ALX IKOS Hustler.
  8. My Tatula Sv casts just as far as my Chronarchs. I have one on my lipless setup and it will cast a 1/2 ounce trap just as far as I need it to.
  9. Night crawler and a bobber with a Zebco 202 over 40 years ago
  10. I don’t eat bass, trout is the only freshwater fish I will eat.
  11. I agree about using a foot controlled trolling motor.I fish a mixture of standing/sitting in my pond prowler. I don't feel comfortable standing when it's windy, the water is choppy or if I have to ride out a wake from another boat.
  12. I don’t have a favorite. I use the one that’s most suitable for the lure I’m throwing.
  13. I agree. I ordered some Z-man craws recently and I couldn’t get them to stay in place on the jig. Got frustrated and broke out the Rage Craws. I’ll have to try the glue.
  14. They're selling new on Ebay for 90.49 free shipping.
  15. Good deal.I ordered one last week.
  16. I’ve made a few changes since those pictures were taken. New fish finder and I added 2 more feet of decking because I didn’t have much standing room where the seat was mounted. Haven’t added any support yet, but probably will soon. I’ve had 2 Bigfoot switches go bad in 3 years, not sure if getting wet caused the failures. Here are some newer pics of it.
  17. The 21 % off sale is still going on. Got an email Wednesday and also just checked the website to confirm it.
  18. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/Lowrance-Elite-7-Ti-MidHighTotalScan-Touchscreen-FishfinderChartplotter-with-USCanada-Navionics-Card?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions&affcode_c=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6uzv6v7D4AIVmJOzCh1t1w4AEAQYASABEgK0ePD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  19. I fill my spools halfway with cheap mono as backing then fill the rest of the spool with the good line. The braid and fluorocarbon lines I use aren’t cheap and this method cuts my cost of respooling in half.
  20. I think you’ve got this backwards. Fluorocarbon doesn’t return to it’s shape after being stretched, mono does.
  21. A lot of cheap lures usually come with cheap quality hooks, by the time you change hooks, you’re not really saving money.
  22. A 5 inch Senko weighs 3/8 ounce. No need for a weight.
  23. Precision Sonar and Russell Marine make a trolling motor mount for the Lowrance Totalscan transducer. I just bought the Elite 7ti last week at Bass Pro for 499. I wish I would’ve known the 9 was going to go on sale.
