Have you considered a lews super duty? Might not be a bad option...

The Rod & Reel BALANCE Thread
I’m hesitant to post seeing what is going on with this thread... but here’s my lews tournament pro lfs on a Johnny Morris signature series. It balances out nicely for my liking.

Fishing small lures
I have caught some large bass on the smallest lures imaginable while going for panfish. I have caught 3+ pound bass while ice fishing with some of the smallest jigs imaginable. Yes, a bass will hit small lures. While I enjoy fishing bigger things there are times when a small lure will work much better.

Post a photo a day!
Just stumbled across some pictures from my trip to Colorado last summer. There was a 2018 Lamborghini huracan in the parking lot and so I asked the owner if I could get a picture in it and next thing I knew he was handing me the keys to rev up the engine. One of the coolest “non-fishing” experiences of 2018.

Terminator T1 Spinnerbaits
They've had them on sale at my local scheels for like $5... Maybe thats because they are being discontinued.

7.0:1 reel what to do with it?
Depends on what you need it for, we need more information. For an all around rod probably 7ft MH/Fast

7.0:1 reel what to do with it?
pretty much anything other than things you reel straight in at a slow/moderate speed.

7.0:1 reel what to do with it?
That's a very versatile speed. You can do pretty much anything with it. You might want a slightly lower speed for things like crankbaits but you could make it work.

Judging fish by pics
@jbsoonerfan's original pictures do a good job showing that bass really don't look that big when people aren't long arming them. People long arming bass makes it so unrealistic often times, no a 4 pounder is not going to be the entire size of your torso. However, if you get a good photo from a good angle while somewhat long arming one, you can get a pretty sweet picture.

Any lews expert? Which model for finesse?
I have a tournament pro that does really well with that type of thing. I put it on a Bass Pro Johnny Morris Signature Series 6’8” M/XF and it is amazing for the things you were mentioning.

Soft Plastics Smell
Just out of curiosity, do you know off the top of your head what scents these are?

Bass Pro Shops great deal! helix 7 G3 with Mega Side Imaging for $499!
Does it say something in the fine print like “we are not responsible for misprints” or something? I don’t know if it really means anything legally but I thought I’ve boticed that on their sale flyers, but I might be wrong. Either way, I still feel that what they are doing is wrong and they should honor it even if it was a mistake.

Love the go pro shots!
Those look really good! Did you do a lot of adjustments to the settings for those? Also what model GoPro is that? I have a 5 and really need to put it to use more.

Dang, that googan reel sounds terrible!!

Pros purposefully misleading about their sponsors baits?
That is the reason I don't get into all the "use what the pros use" stuff. I can't blame them for being loyal to their sponsors but they don't care if "x" Squarebill even catches fish if they're getting paid to say it does, they likely will say it does. They might not never even throw a certain lure but say it's one of their "go-to" lures. So in short, yes it does bother me a little, however, you can't really blame them much.

1000 size shimano reels
I use a 1000 size Shimano on my medium (seems a little light for a medium though, maybe closer to a ML) and I love it. It balances great and I really just like the smaller feeling. I have personally never felt like that 1000 reel was "incapable" of what a 2500 size reel can do.

I tell y'all what!
Got my first spool if invisx this winter and like @Catt I have been just tried flipping and pitching it around a tad while waiting for the ponds to unfreeze. I am also extremely impressed. I have used quite a few other brands and a friend swore by this stuff and bought me some and dang it’s nice. I am so excited for the ice to go away so I can really put it to use. If anybody’s considering new flouro I would also highly recomend this stuff, at the same time though, I still have to put it to the test.
