  1. Is it the shimano stella?
  2. I’ve heard really good things about the yozuri hybrid. Are you using spinning or baitcasting reels? If spinning I would definitely consider braid. Casting is much harder and really depends on a lot of what you are fishing and where you are fishing. If you plan on fishing frogs and in weeds and slop then I would probably go with braid as well.
  3. Nice! Gotta love it when things like that happen, Congrats!
  4. You can do that? Most gift cards say they can not be exchanged for cash... did I read your post wrong?
  5. Almost everybody on here will say the tatula. People might also recomend the fuego for a little cheaper. I have not tried either but I can definitely say I am not the biggest fan of the lower end abus. If you were to ask me I would say get a lews lfs, but that is coming from a lews fan.?
  6. So I got costas for Christmas and just want to know how you clean them. I heard your not supposed to clean them with water or your shirt. It came with a cloth but should I use a spray with it? If so does brand really matter because some get pretty pricy, thanks! Merry christmas!
  7. my .02 is keep it, when I think of BBB I think of the piranha... you can't get rid of him!!!?
  8. Sweet! Best part is the discount?????
  9. I don't like when the two parts aren't lined up, also (it might be a mental thing) but I feel that it can distort the action of the rod. For example on a moderate rod there would be a section that doesn't really "match" if you know what I mean. Worst case scenario the top will even fly off if you do enough casts. I realize that these might not be reasons good enough to go through the extra struggle but I was just saying I definitely prefer 1 piece.
  10. Yeah I understand, If I had the money to be doing the customizations and stuff you do, trust me I would be a Daiwa fan.
  11. Generally, at least in that price range, I would much prefer a 1 piece rod. 7' is also a great length so if there is a way to put it in your car even if it takes an extra minute each time I would recommend that. However, I personally have never tried putting a 7' rod in a 2 door car so I don't know the frustration. Sorry, I realize I didn't really answer your question but just thought I would throw that in there. Feel free to throw that advice out if you want.
  12. Hey @rippin-lips, have you ever posted a picture of all your setups at once. I would be very interested to see that. While I am more of a lews fan, I have to admit I really dig your customized reels.
  13. I would like to apologize if this was harsh and offended anybody. I was not intending for it to be a negative thing. I was going through my ice fishing stuff seeing if I have to restock and I remembered how much I use wax-worms.?
  14. Your gonna get about 100 different replys, choose a well known company that fits your needs and feels good in your hand.
  15. IMO unless it is really clear water, no it does not matter... go with whatever you think looks cooler on your rods
  16. I found the new model on eBay for $130 but it was all complicated because apperently it was bought from bass pro with a stolen credit card and shipped to me... well anyways bass pro took the loss and let me keep it so I got the new tournament pro for $130.
  17. Ugh, I saw it for $10 on sale somewhere but didn’t get it
  18. You can’t go wrong with a tournaments pro! I own 2 (the model before the g and the newest 2019 model). I would 100% take another tournament pro over the magnesium. My buddy has a pro mag and don’t get me wrong it is nice, but the tournament pros just seem more durable and honestly higher quality if you ask me. That’s just my .02 tho, they are both great reels!
  19. Your going off topic could have saved me a lot of frustration with a “tippy” boat in the long run, so thanks! Thanks for all the help everyone! It looks like it won’t be nearly as complicated as I thought it would be.
  20. THANK YOU! There’s nothing wrong with it in my opinion I just wouldn’t even compare it to the fishing most of us do.
  21. Good Choices!?
  22. Maybe like 3-4 hours??? Ill look into a wider flat bottom because I am really wanting to have that casting deck. Thanks!
  23. Ok, thanks! Yes that is 12ft and I'm checking out your boat now
