Best terminal tackle storage ideas
I've tried about 100 different ways of storing terminal tackle. It's pricey, but I'm really impressed with the Edge box so far. Wish it was just a tad deeper, but that's just nit picking

Wake bait rod
How much of a rush are you in to get it? If you're not worried about spending IMX prices, I'd check out F5 or LowDown.

What has helped you improve the most as an angler?
Forcing myself to grind out the tough times of the day. For example I used to fish this small lake that was on fire mid morning until about 1 pm. After that you couldn't buy a bite. But even after I got irritated, upset, and obviously not having fun, I made myself stay and figure out a bite. Paying attention to and figuring out a pattern. I used to think these guys were full of it when they said stuff like "they're sitting on 3.5' tall brush piles, but only the ones that have 3 rocks in front of em". But sometimes it really is like that. So I junk fish til I get a couple bites, then kinda stop and reflect on those bites and try to crack the code for the day.

Crankbait snaps
I'm pretty sure either the small or medium ones. I bought a 100 piece bulk pack like 3 years ago, so I'm not positive. I think I still have like 90 of em, though?

Crankbait snaps
I used VMC's forever, they're great. I got sick of them catching grass, though, and switched to tactical clips. I still use VMC'S for some topwater baits, though.

Tell us about your kayak
In this price range that tends to be true. But there's definitely faster boats out there that don't sacrifice stability. I haven't gotten that far, yet. ? Definitely something pedaled. I have shoulder issues, so the whole paddling deal gets old real quick. Leaning towards a Titan, maybe even a Slayer. Kind of interested to see if FeelFree comes out with a Dorado V2, too. FeelFree just released the lure V2, definitely worth a look.

Tell us about your kayak
I'm in a BigFish 105. My wife's Pescador is up top. I've probably mentioned something about backflips and gymnastics on it once or twice here. Definitely stable. The seat is extremely well built, and really comfortable. Tons of room, even for a 10.5' kayak. Sloooooooooow. Paddling an 8 hour tourney with it takes some recovery time for sure. A little faster now that I have into FeelFree and bought the rudder designed for it, though. I like my boat, but there's a lot that really irks me about it. It just has "fantastic idea, poor execution" throughout it, and a lot of the reasons I bought it ended up being like that. It has a spot on either side for horizontal rod storage, except there's no way to actually get a rod into that spot. There's also a storage spot for a tackle tray on either side of you, but getting a hand down there requires being double jointed. I absolutely love the sonar pod, though. One easily removable all in one graph-battery-wires-transducer spot. I don't think I could ever own a paddle powered kayak without a similar pod after having it. I complain about it a lot, but it's not a bad kayak, especially for the price. FeelFree makes em big n sturdy, and I don't think I could sink it if I tried. It'll also be for sale after this season ?

Would You Fish Out This? Could You?
I'm not super experienced with boats with motors. I did work with a guy who used to take me out on St Clair with his Whaler. Can't remember the length offhand, but it wasn't big, 18' tops. Thing handled some of them infamous St Clair nasty weather days better than my dad's cabin cruiser. When weather came in and most guys would duck for shelter cause the ramp was too far away, he'd yell to "buckle up" and gun it across the lake. Not wise, and not a cushy ride, but it says something about those boats

Hook sharpener
There used to be one that looked like a cone, it was used similarly to how you'd chalk a pool cue. Searched the ends of the interwebs only to find out no one makes it anymore.

Lews Line Conditioner
Anything is better than Reelsnot. It might've worked really well on my line... dunno, I was too busy trying to keep fish from taking my rod with em after a hookset.

Help! Inexperienced fisherman!
You could use a tree branch and a shoe lace, but it ain't perfect. There are certain tools (rods) for certain jobs.

How do YOU fish a swimbait?
And there's some good swimbaits in that range. But the swimbait game in general is expensive, and not for everyone.

Which SUP?
I have a buddy with a Maverick. It's a pretty slick set up. 2 of us have fished off it together, and Vibe has great customer service. I did lose a bunch of weights/hooks/pliers from kicking or bouncing them into the water, but that's how it goes on any SUP.

How do YOU fish a swimbait?
$60 is on the lower end of the price spectrum. You have to remember, though, most of these baits aren't mass produced in China. Most come from small companies with just a handful of guys producing them. Sometimes just a one man operation.

Hello Huddleston... Where are you?
Buy em somewhere else and cancel your order. You're probably at least number 1,289,837 on the list. You might get em in the mail sometime in 2025.

Plano Edge Jig box questions
Are all the edge boxes 3700 size? I picked up the terminal box, and I love it, but I can only fit one 3700 box on top of everything else in my crate.

Input Appreciated
A lot of companies are coming out with “kayak” series of rods with shorter handles. I think it’s a gimmick for its intended purpose, but would probably suit you well for jerk baits

2019 Vibe Sea Ghost 110 build
Move to LiFePo4 batteries. Smaller, more efficient, and actually cheaper in the long run.

2019 Vibe Sea Ghost 110 build
Looks really good. I agree, keeping things tidy on kayaks is near impossible.

Shimano Curado K Vs SLX XT
I own a couple K’s, and my wife has an SLX. The SLX is definitely a nice budget reel, and the new XT version had me thinking of saving some cash and switching to them. I’ll probably buy 1 or 2 for light use, but the K’s will continue to sit on the rods I use heavily.

Perception Pescador Pro 100
My wife hates her seat. A memory foam/gel seat made it a little better for her. There is a modification a lot of guys do to raise the back of the seat up a little. I’m sure you can google “pescador seat mod” and it’ll pop up.

Which Pedal Fishing Kayak should I get?
Check around for used one offerings. I’ve seen used titans go for less than $2k

Powell Endurance 765 MMH Fast Casting
The 775 and 765 are honestly so similar, in my opinion, I’m not sure why they manufacture both. It has a lot uses, but it’s not a “7 ft mh, do it all” type rod. If you’re gentle with hookset, you shouldn’t bend anything out besides hooks on the lighter side.

Powell Endurance 765 MMH Fast Casting
I just got my Endurance 775 in last week. It was a warranty replacement for my Max3D I had for 3 years. From my understanding the two lineups share the same blank, with the Max getting nicer guides/cork/etc. I was a little disappointed with the cork quality on the Endurance, but I’m a form>function guy, so not a dealbreaker for me. It’s probably my favorite rod I own. Incredibly light and balanced, very, very sensitive. I used to hate dragging a football jig in deep water before this rod. it’ll launch a 3/4 oz football jig d**n near out of sight. It is absolutely definitely NOT a glidebait rod. It’s a broomstick, you’ll rip any sort of treble hooks out without even trying. It is a fantastic frog rod. I’ve pulled some biggins out of some really gnarly cover, and with relative ease. Smaller frogs can be a challenge to get out far due to the tip being so fast. Might be easier with the 765, I know the tips not as fast on it. Paired with the right reel, the weight and balance of the rod makes it easy to pitch/punch all day without much fatigue.
