  1. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  2. I have some 6' medium BPS crankin stick rods that I use for crank baits and suspending jerk baits. I have also used them for spinner baits. The medium light should be good for small crankbaits.
  3. I can' tell much about what is there without better pictures. I would be very wary of dealing with him if he won't give you a straight answer as to what everything is.
  4. It sounds like you and I have about the same luck with jigs. I have caught some on jigs but just don't throw them very often for the same reasons you mentioned.
  5. I have caught fish on white senko type baits. I have white trick worms and get a fish to look at them. I just depends on where you are fishing, what you are using, and what the fish are in the mood for.
  6. I have enough baits that catch logs, trees, stumps, rocks, and other assorted underwater obstacles.
  7. If somebody knows what they are hitting on let me know. I went fishing Monday. Water temp 74 degrees. Caught one 11" monster. Caught it on a baby brush hog. Nobody was having much luck that I talked to down there. Don't tell Catt I caught on a green pumpkin purple color. I know how much he loves green pumpkin.
  8. Looks like the bait monkey struck again.
  9. I guess I need to get a setup for jigs all the time. I get so wrapped up in using soft plastics I forget about using jigs. I think I have only used a jig once or maybe twice this year.
  10. You should also add the PB&J color. I use a twin tail grub or a Zoom ultra vibe speed craw for a trailer. I match my trailer color to the jig. Usually just drag them along slowly.
  11. It is one of the best jig colors I have ever found.
  12. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  13. Very good read.
  14. If B.A.S.S. invites Charlie Hartley, Pete Ponds and a few others that used to be in the elite series back they might have a dozen people to fish the classic.

We don't use the self checkout unless we absolutely have to. After finding what you want if you can find it they should give you a discount for using the self checkout. If they have something you really like you better stock up on it. They will probably get rid of it and have something else the next time you want it.
  16. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  17. I have mono on some my baitcasters and have no problems with it. I use Sufix Siege in 12 pound test. I use it for crankbaits, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwaters. This has been a very good line for me. If I throw soft plastics or jigs then I use florocarbon line.
  18. I think 5by3 got it right. I have fixed Cavitron buzzbaits that ran on their side side by checking and bending the wires back in line. I hold them by the line tie end to check them. I can't say about the difference in braid and mono as I have never used braid for anything.
  19. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  20. I usually have my best luck using crawdad style baits.
  21. Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad you enjoy it. I have picked up a lot of good info here.
  22. Glenn had his wife running around talking to the pros getting tips and tricks. He spends a lot of time hanging out with Hank Parker getting info. We have a new tournament trail starting up. The question is will Glenn be the new super star on the new tournament trail? Will he work his way into the elites and fish the Bassmaster classic. Or will he remain the the same mild mannered guy he is now. Just wondering.
  23. I normally throw trick worms on a spinning rod with a 1/16 ounce sinker. The others I throw on a baitcaster and use either 1/8 or 1/4 ounce sinkers. I may go up to 3/8 ounce around heavy cover.
  24. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  25. Very nice catches. I am not sure of the quality these baits will have considering the track record of the company that owns them know. I feel like they have ruined every brand they bought. Once they buy out a company I usually quit buying their baits.
