Favorite all around tackle brand?
Zoom for soft plastics. Bandit and Norman for crank baits. War Eagle for spinner baits. Just getting started using 6th Sense crank baits but have not had much luck with them yet.

Plastic Worm Fishing
Like a lot of others on here I learned how to fish T rigged worms with Culprit and Creme lures. Purple was the hot color back then and it is still very good at times today. I peg my weight now and use a lot of Zoom worms. I just started using the Ole Monster worms 2 or 3 years ago and have been very surprised at how well they work.

My wife says she can also remember the good things I have done. Both of them.

cranking reel!
You need a reel that takes up about 20" per handle turn. Find one in that range and you will be okay for crank baits.

Christmas tree: real or fake?
We finally got tired putting up the bigger artificial tree. Last year we bought a little 4' tree that sits on table. Already pre lit. Just add a few little decorations.

Best tackle box (pictures)
That is very similar to the one I use. My 9606 box is bigger. It lets me carry a lot more stuff I don't need or won't catch fish with me. Thanks for the info.

Best tackle box (pictures)
I use a Plano 9606 tackle box. It is a large tackle box with 6 trays in it. I really need to get a new one of them but I can't find any place that still carries that particular model.

When to use mono for LMB fishing???
I can't recommend braid most topwater baits. I have seen too many articles about braid fouling up the hooks. Seems most people use a mono leader if the are using braid because of this.

When to use mono for LMB fishing???
I use mono for all the same techniques as Bluebasser86. I use floro for soft plastics and jigs. Mono is always your best choice for top water poppers and walk the dog type baits.

Keeping soft baits in bag
I like to keep mine in their original bags and put them in soft sided bags made for holding soft plastics. Do not put anything from ZMan in a plastic box as it will ruin those boxes. Do not mix ZMan with any other plastics as it will ruin them too.

Spinnerbait and using trailers
I don't use a trailer or a trailer hook. I pick what to use based on the water conditions. I usually use willow leaf blades and lighter colored skirts in cleaner water and colorado blades and chartreuse or black and blue skirts in dirtier water. I seem to have my best luck slow rolling them instead of burning them back.

I find it interesting that BPS didn't put the Bionic Blade rods on the sale list.

Profound Outdoors Lures
Went to Sportsmans Warehouse today. I noticed they had crank baits from Profound Outdoors. I had never heard of them before. They had a lot of different sizes and types of baits and it looked like they had some good color patterns to them. The price was reasonable. Are they a new company or am I just old and out of touch by not having heard of them?

Bass Pro Megacast Baitcast Combo
The only one I have tried was several years ago. Fishing with a friend that had just bought one of the reels. He asked me to try it. Made a few casts and seemed to cast okay bit felt like it had sand or grit in it on the retrieve. It was not smooth at all when turning the handle.

What are you putting on your fishing Christmas list?
Maybe a Daiwa BG 2500 spinning reel and a Cabelas Fish Eagle spinning rod. I have so much stuff I really don't need anything.
