Hello and welcome to the forum.
  2. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  3. While this sounds good I can't do it. My knees are shot from arthritis. Doctors tell me my only option is knee replacements. I am trying to put that off as long as possible. Between Columbia Craw and A-Jay doing all this exercise and body building I'm worn out just thinking about it. I may have to go take a nap. I'm left out of that discussion. I've never tried that line.
  4. Like LCG says rod length is a personal thing. I am like Darren. A 6'6" is the longest I will use. The only ones I have experience with are the BPS bionic blades. I have some 6' ones. Bought one in 6'6". Like Boogey Man says the handle makes a difference. Since the handle is longer I only gained about 3 1/2" in castable rod length. The rod you have I would use for crank baits, some top waters, spinner baits.
  5. I have some of the original Stan Sloane Zorro short arm baits with a single Colorado blade. I believe it is a size 4 blade. They are 3/8 ounce. They are great for slow rolling.
  6. I'm glad you have that much energy.I get tired just walking up or down the basement steps here.
  7. I only have older model Shimano reels. I usually set two pins for centrifugal brake and spool tension as needed to stop back lashes. If the wind gets to be a problem I will set a third pin. Mine don't have magnetic brakes.
  8. Hope she continues to improve. Hope they will figure out what caused this so it doesn't happen again.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
  11. On the rare times I use a tube I have them Texas rigged. I haven't noticed them getting hung op any more than any other soft plastic would. I am usually on my last act of desperation to catch fish when I use them.
  12. I wish I had the talent to be able to make something that looks that good.
  13. Prayers sent. Hope things get better for you.
  14. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all Bass Resource members.
  15. My current boat trailer has a grease fitting in the end of the axle. The grease comes out between the back bearing and seal. This pushes fresh grease all the way through both bearings. I still tear mine down to clean and repack them every couple of years.
  16. I don't have anything faster than 6:8:1 or about 28 IPT. It doesn't bother me to have to turn the handle more than 3 times to get my bait back in.
  17. That is what you say now. Just wait until the golf gorilla over rides the bait monkey.
  18. I had some on a boat trailer years ago. The only problem I can remember is over the years taking them out to clean and check or replace bearings and seals and reinstalling them they got to where they did not fit tight in the hub anymore. I replaced them with another set of them.
  19. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  20. I've had people drive by and tell me there weren't any fish where I was casting.
  21. A very merry Christmas to you all too.
  22. I don't use flukes as much as I should. When I do use them I seem to have my best luck on the smokin shad color. Occasionally I catch one on the pearl white color.
  23. Or someone who wants to sell you some rods after you try this.
  24. You're supposed to wash your boat? I think I cleaned mine maybe 5 or 6 years ago.
  25. I hate to break your illusion. Christie Brinkley turned 60 this year. Since she is now too old for you I'll take her fishing.
