Good insurance company
Hello and welcome to the forum. I have my boat insurance with American Modern. I have not had any claims with them. I just renewed my insurance and the agent told us to keep the boat insurance separate. If you add it on your homeowners and some thing happens them the claim goes against your house.

If you could only use one jig trailer for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I t would be either a Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw or a twin tail grub.

What technique are you best at?
I used to think I was best with crankbaits. After the way my luck went last year I'm not sure I'm very good with any of them.

Looking to buy a new setup and can't settle on a gear ratio for the reel
I would go with a 6:2:1 ratio or about 26" per handle turn. I find it easier to speed it up a little than forcing myself to slow down.

Need a spinning rod under $60
I bought the Cabelas Fish Eagle spinning rods when they were on sale for around $50. They are usually about $70 if you can go a little more. I have not gotten to use mine a lot since I bought them but they seem to be good rods.

Why I Don't Buy Tackle From Ebay
I don't order anything online. I won't use a credit card if I don't have to. Others have managed to get my credit card info twice and the card never left my possession.

Greetings to my fellow fishermen
For got to mention I once in a while I go to Cedar Creek Lake. I don't care much about going down there because every day is like being there on the weekend it gets hit so hard. It is the trophy lake where you can only keep one and it has to be 20" long.

Plastic grubs
I have several colors of Zoom grubs in the boat. I generally don't use them unless the bite is really tough and I need to downsize. I had a day a few years ago I couldn't get a bite. I switched to a grub and caught 9 that day. Caught both large and smallmouth on them that day. I always use mine as a Texas rig. I use a 1/0 skip gap hook with an 1/8 ounce sinker.

Bait that you set aside
I quit using ribbon tail worms for years after I started catching so many on baby brush hogs. I have since started using them again. I also need to start using poppers more. I have caught some good fish on them.

Serious tournament fisherman
I want to know how big the boat is to haul that many rods.

House brand rods
I didn't bother to tell him what I thought about his comment. He probably wouldn't have understood it if I did tell him.

First try at spinnerbaits
Curious as to how good the blue, white and chartreuse is. I have a couple of spinnerbaits in that color and can't get a fish to look at them. Mine are not on chartreuse heads and have willow leaf blades.

Greetings to my fellow fishermen
I fish Taylorsville some. I like some areas of the Ky. river. I go to Stoner Creek and once in a while parts of Elkhorn Creek that are close to where I live. Fishing has not been very good there for a while.

House brand rods
I bought a couple of Cabelas fish eagle spinning rods. I haven't gotten to use them a very much yet but they seem to be good rods. When I was looking for them I was at a BPS. I asked someone in the fishing dept. if the had the Cabelas rods. He said they wouldn't bring their rods in to BPS. He said BPS fishing stuff was much better quality than Cabelas.

Soft plastics storage on boat
I keep mine in their original packaging and put them in soft sided tackle bags from BPS made for holding soft plastics. I do have a few in other plastic boxes that I will use up and not get anymore of those.

As much time as he spends on here I can't believe he has a real job.

Fishing Shows
We will have a boat show here in about three weeks. It depends on what they have as to whether I will go or not. I skipped some years when the big attraction was a lumber jack contest. What does that have to do with fishing? They promote having zip lines set up. If they bring in the hawg trough and do some fishing demos I might go. I did get see Rick Clunn do a demo several years ago at the show.

Talk to me about the chronarch mgl 150
If you know someone that uses bait casters a lot you might see if they will work with you on how to adjust the settings and how to cast without getting a lot of backlashes.
