How have you simplified soft plastic choice?
I am worse than most of you about buying plastics in different colors. I buy mostly Zoom baits. I probably have a dozen different colors of baby brush hogs, and fifteen colors of trick worms. A lot of them I will use up and never buy them again. I also have ol monster and mag 2 worms in 5 or 6 different colors plus assorted craws in several different colors. There are plenty of super flukes and swimbaits in several colors. I am not sending them to anybody for proper disposal. I will take care of that myself.

Trailer jack wheel stop
You can mark a 3" circle on the wood. Drill a hole through the center then cut it out with a jigsaw. It might be a slow process to cut it out but it will work.

Review: Whopper Plopper 75
If you all don't quit talking about how many fish these catch I will be forced to buy one.

Help the new guy out. Lures getting stuck on stuff
When using crankbaits I found I get hung up a lot less by switching out the treble hooks to EWG short shank treble hook.

What is the best size/style cast net for catching bait for smallmouth in a small river?
You might need to check your fishing regulations. Some places have a certain size the mesh needs to be on cast nets.

Will a 1/0 EWG work with a 5 inch senko?
I use a 4/0 hook on my senkos. I believe you will miss a lot of fish using a 1/0 hook. Senkos tear up easy any way so that won't make a difference. I have cut a little bit off after they get torn up and used them again.

Buying Rods & Reels
I too am using the Lews tournament MB reels. Also have a BB1 for crankbaits. Spinning reels are Daiwa Fuego reels. Rods are all BPS. Either crankin stick, bionic blade, or old pro qualifier.

Popular Colors That Don't Produce for You!
Watermelon red flake does not work for me. I have also found that just because a color works really good on one type of bait it may be worthless on another one.

Terminal tackle cleanup strategies
To answer TOXIC and Choporoz I can't afford to by Yamamoto plastics. I use Gamakatsu hooks. I also apologize to snake95 as I did not mean to hijack his thread.

Terminal tackle cleanup strategies
I am a little puzzled by a comment TOXIC made. I leave soft plastics rigged up on a couple of setups all the time and have never had hooks rust out from this. I use mostly Zoom baits so maybe that is the difference.

stable crankbait
These may be hard to find. From what I can tell they have been discontinued. Our local Ollies store had them for about three bucks.

Do we go a little overboard with the fluoro leaders?
I only use leaders on my spinning rods. I have 10 pound mono for a main line. I add a barrel swivel and 8 pound floro about 3' long. The barrel swivel helps stop line twist problems. I don't like tying my lines together as I don't like the idea of casting knots through my guides.

Boat trailer bunk carpet.
You need to see how your bunks are set up now. On my trailer the original bunks had a gap between the carpet edges on the bottom side. I have replaced mine twice and set them up same way. If you need to leave a gap the 8" carpet will be fine. If you close them up completely you will probably tear the carpet up drilling holes in them for the bolts that hold them in place.

Can a rod prevent a cast from not going far?
I have an old Browning rod. It does not matter which reel I put on it or what weight lure I use. It will not cast as good as my other setups.
