  1. I have good lick with them. I like juneug and old purple colors.
  2. What kind of license is required for raccoon fishing?
  3. Using mono won't be a problem. I use 10 pound mono for a main line. I then use a barrel swivel and tie on about a 3 foot florocarbon leader. A leader is not required. I use a leader with the barrel swivel to help stop line twist problems. I should have added my leader is 8 pound floro.
  4. I would recommend going to the video section on here. Glenn has a very good video on how to spool a spinning reel.
  5. I have to agree with you. I set mine up the same way. Siege is one tough mono. I do use 12 pound Sunline super florocarbon on my Texas rigs and jigs.
  6. I started out fishing a cane pole. I never thought about the length. I just went fishing.
  7. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  8. I'm not sure about the year but I have some of the old Bomber lures shown in one of the adds.
  9. I don't know what size or how your boat is set up. I have a bass tracker 175 and I use my trolling motor while using a standard sit down seat without any problems. That is probably just other peoples preferred way and style of fishing.
  10. I have never thrown a grub on a shaky head. I always Texas rig mine. When I do fish a shaky head I always use a direct line tie. You will need to keep a check your line for bad spots when fishing a shaky head. If you use a clip or snap to attach the head people forget about checking their line.
  11. Hello and welcome to the forum. I keep my bait monkey locked in a cage. That is why I don't have the problem of so many reels like new2BC4bass.
  12. Some people need refresher courses on some fishing techniques. Some aren't catching anything so they are trying to figure out why.
  13. Throw them on a t-rig with a 1/16 ounce sinker.
  14. I agree but remember a texas rigged worm is usually being retrieved a lot slower on the bottom. Most spinnerbaits are moving much faster and higher in the water.
  15. If I were to use a trailer on a spinnerbait I would likely use something a lot smaller like a twin tail grub. That big ribbon tail gives them a lot of target to hit without getting the bait or hook in their mouth.
  16. I'm not very good with understanding electronics. I have two Garmin units with down vu. I use mine for knowing the depth and temperature of the water. I don't look any specific pieces of cover or structure to fish. I know most of the places I fish fairly well so it is not a big deal.

  18. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  19. What type of line do you have on your reel? A lot of florocarbon lines don't work well on spinning reels. I have mono as a main line on mine. I then use a barrel swivel and about a 2' to 3' leader of florocarbon line. You should also be closing the bail by hand instead of turning the handle to close it. A lot of people on here like braid better than anything on a spinning reel but I have never tried it. You may also have too much line on the spool. It is best not to fill them all the way up.
  20. I throw the ol' monster worms with a 1/8 ounce sinker. I believe the slower fall rate gets more bites.
