  1. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  2. I like the baby brush hogs, ol monster and mag 2 worms, and ultra vibe speed craw. If the bite gets really tough I will throw a grub or centipede. Once in a while I throw a senko type worm.
  3. Hello and welcome to the forum. Thank you for your service
  4. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  5. I'm not sure who makes them but there are some on the market where you can change out the hook if you need a bigger or smaller hook depending on what you want to use.
  6. I would think it would be fine for those baits. I say take it out and try it and see how it works. That way you will know for sure.
  7. I understand about the weighted hooks for them. I don't understand why the jig head is a better way to go. I like to rig mine as a standard Texas rig and have caught some that way. Every time I use a swim bait head I spend half my time getting hung up. The only swim bait head I will use is the sworming hornet and I have caught several fish on them with a swim bait trailer.
  8. Hello and welcome to the forum. I have some of the old baby 1 minus crankbaits in my tackle box but it is a rare day when I actually use them.
  9. I adjust mine so that I don't have backlashes and use my thumb mostly at the end of the cast. Also another vote for centrifugal brakes. I have two reels with magnetic and centrifugal brakes on them. I keep the magnetic brakes turned off and only use the centrifugal brakes and spool tension adjustment.
  10. The only ones I have are BPS fishing shirts in short sleeve. They do make them in long sleeve. These shirts are okay when you have breeze to help in cooling you off.
  11. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  12. IPT means inches per turn or how many inches of line the reel takes up in one complete handle turn.
  13. You will need some baits in natural colors and patterns like shad and bluegill.
  14. I have had what my wife calls old lady step bars installed to make it easier for her to get in and out the truck. Also had a spray in bed liner done.
  15. Hello and welcome to the forum from another Ky. bass chaser.
  16. Yes people still drive Fords. They are needed to get the broke down Chevys off the road and to the repair shop.
  17. Guess I will stay with my 20 tear old Bass Tracker. The only way I will ever be able to afford a Ranger or a Basscat is to win the lottery.
  18. Yes you can use the BB1 for any technique you want to use them for. The fact that it holds more line will not make a difference.
  19. I am using a Lew's BB1 for crankbaits in a 5 to 1 gear ratio. I have had good luck with mine. They come in several gear ratios so you should be able to get one that will work for you. One thing I like is that they don't have magnetic brakes in them. I am just not a fan of magnetic brakes.
  20. I have to agree with jeffo21. I was in a DSG recently and the prices on what I looked at were a lot higher than BPS. I wasn't super impressed with their selections on what they had in stock.
  21. I do. My truck is the plain Jane version. It does not have power windows and door locks. If I want a window down I have to turn the handle.
  22. Maybe he needs to sign up for LTB or MTB. He will always have new baits coming in. Maybe then you can borrow some of his.
  23. I use my medium power rods for crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwater poppers and walking baits.
  24. I am still using BPS crankin sticks and bionic blades that are between 15 and 20 years old. I also have a couple of pro qualifiers before they discontinued them. They all still get the job done for me.
  25. As I stated above I like my baits moving slower. If you try running them too fast a crankbait lose its bite in the water and not work like it should. If you are throwing deep running crankbaits a high speed reel will wear you out reeling them in.
