  1. Hello and welcome. Looks like a nice boat. Good luck with it.
  2. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  3. Congratulations on your retirement. The most important thing is to keep your fishing equipment ready to go. If you drive your wife crazy enough she will tell you to go fishing instead of bothering her.
  4. I use a large Plano tackle box for crankbaits, spinnerbaits, terminal tackle. The only baits I keep in a 3700 size box are suspending jerkbaits.
  5. My Bass Tracker has a threaded plug. I don't take it out very often but when I do I put a little bit of grease around the threads before putting it back in.
  6. Hello and welcome.
  7. I think the batteries will be okay. The question is how well sealed are the chargers?
  8. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  9. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  10. I always rig mine with the hook on top and the flat side down. I never really thought about rigging it any other way.
  11. I bought a couple of spincast reels that BPS makes for my wife to use. They are around $25 to $30 bucks apiece. She hasn't used them a lot but they seem to be decent reels. I was looking at some others but the guy a BPS recommended them as they are a little smaller and would fit with small hands better.
  12. I usually use a 6ft for any topwater baits and have used 5'6" before for them.
  13. If your back hooks are good I would put them on the front. I believe you be less likely to get hung up.
  14. Hello and welcome.
  15. I won't be following it. I would sit here depressed because they went out and caught all those big fish and I didn't.
  16. Hello and welcome fro another Ky. bass chaser.
  17. I always add fuel treatment in time I get gas in the the boat to stop ethanol problems. I am currently using Quickare fuel treatment made by Quicksilver. I found it at Walmart. I have never tried Sea foam.
  18. While this sounds like a good plan I don't think it will work. You have to remember that just because you caught your fish in one lake it may not work in the next one. It will be a different day, a different body of water, and different conditions. It may take a different bait or a different approach to catch them in another lake.
  19. I have a line spooling station with an arm and roller with spring tension on it to keep pressure on the spool while filling my reels. I stop once in a while to spray some reel magic on it.
  20. I went to our local Ollie's and checked out the lucky Craft. I also left empty handed. They also had a bunch of Arashi square bills for $3.99. I good price but I didn't need any. I don't know why they discontinued them. I have had pretty good luck with the ones I have used. I guess we both beat the bait monkey.
  21. I don't know what length rods you want or like. I am using a BPS cranking stick in a 6ft length and it is an older rod. Probably 15yrs old. I can't speak for the new ones as I have not tried them.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
  23. I use Sufix Siege in 12 on my crankbait rod and have not had any problems with it.
  24. I would recommend going with a 5 to 1 gear ratio or about 20" per handle turn. To me anything faster than that is too fast for a crankbait. To me it is easier to use a lower speed reel than to use a high speed and force myself to try to reel slower.
