  1. Ya, Bass Trek comes in at just over 1100lbs total sitting on the trailer with a full load.
  2. Lower models - but I'm loving my Miravel 1000 and Ultegra 1000 for finesse fishing. Maybe a Stradic or Vanford in 1000 size?
  3. Double tap the set to make sure the barb gets buried? Go up in power to get extra 'ooomph' in your hook-set? Only things I can think of.
  4. From what I've read - it's the same SC-III blank as the previous model. Just the handle shape and reel seat have changed. They've added a few powers/actions, including BFS and a couple new spinning models...but basically it's the same Mojo we've come to love, just with the weird handle thingie.
  5. Heal yourself up - the bass will still be waiting.
  6. @Johnbt - original definition is 'Triangle', indicative of it's shape...it was also the name of an ancient Greek string instrument that was in the shape of a triangle...DC thought the name was cool and co-opted it.
  7. Zoom - Trick Worms, Finesse Worms, UV Speed Worms
  8. Ya, I'm hitting a pier tomorrow evening for panfish, then getting Bass Trek on the water early Thursday.
  9. If the water is very clear, or I'm tossing bottom contact lures into rocky areas (we got Zebra Mussels here), then I'll tie on a leader...otherwise it's straight braid for the 3 rigs I have braid on.
  10. Well, they obviously live in Tonka - just watching Matt Johnson's weekly update. Blackfish Classic was on Tonka last Monday - winners bagged just over 20#, second place was around 18#. I just gotta find where they're hiding.
  11. Always good to see some in-depth on 'new' presentation methods...great stuff, Glenn.
  12. Probably the last new Mojo I'll buy...arrived today from ALF's 'close-out sale'.
  13. Question being - who got the rumor started? My money is on a competitor...
  14. ^ Also check out the plethora of articles and videos posted...most of what you need to know can be found there, with us just 'fine tuning'.
  15. Bass-X doesn't have a model that'll handle cranks/spinners that light - You want a Mod-Fast or Mod action and a 'light' end of Medium or even Medium-Light power. I have one rod that I toss light cranks/spinners/chatters on (some of my finesse cranks are 1/10 oz) Okuma Reflexions 7'0" ML/MF-F - but it's a spinning rod.
  16. Ya - they're about as accurate as Phrenology.
  17. Happy B-Day, man Good Genes and Good Luck are the ticket to long life...may you have many more birthdays.
  18. Despite having Furys, Mojos and Victorys...I still have 2 Aird-X rods in my lineup.
  19. I dunno - but considering the new Trigon is $20-$40 more than the 'original'...if I'm spending that kind of money, it's gonna be a Victory. Or the older Mojos from ALF's used area when my budget is tighter.
  20. Ya, I noted this a couple days ago.
  21. Yo-Zuri Hybrid 12# has been my go-to for Crankbaits for years. 15# on my spinner/chatter rig and 10# on my soft swimbait/topwater rig.
  22. I just wish it was nicer looking...I think the angles and sharp cuts in the handle make it look ugly.
  23. I think the power wire supplied by Garmin is 20 or 22 AWG...connecting 10 AWG to that is gonna be a pain. When I wired up Bass Trek, I used 10 AWG from the 35AH to the fuse box, but 16 AWG from that to the individual items. (I've got a second battery for the TM and there I'm using 8 AWG) Only thing I can think of is Wrap the Garmin lead around the end of the 10 AWG Crimp an end-cap over them both. https://www.amazon.com/Closed-Crimp-Terminal-Connector-12-10GA/dp/B08JXGQ8GX?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A1GAG8V2FL2TTY
