  1. Upgrade the charger if it doesn't? I went straight to a NOCO Genius for my F-9 - supports old-style, Gel/AGM and Lithium. I'm starting with AGMs because of budget, but can upgrade to Lithium without worrying about the charger. There's also 200ah AGMs out there.
  2. It'll power that grouping - how long is the question. 1: Check the owners manuals for Current Draw in AMPS for each item. Add them all together. This is your Amp usage per hour. 2: Now for the battery - if it's an old style (pop tops to add water) then multiply the AH rating by 0.5 - this is your 'effective' AH...draw an old style below 50% charge and you start creating issues. If it's a Gel or AGM - multiply by 0.65 to get the effective AH Now divide step 2 by step 1 to get the number of hours your battery will run that conglomeration. Note: If you can afford a Lithium - go for it. Lithium's 'effective' AH is 90%-95% of the stated AH.
  3. Seems the reverse according to the forecast - mid 50s Thurs and Fri...and 72 on Sat.
  4. Or even a 1452 instead of the 1448 - 4" more width might not sound like much, but it really makes a difference in the stability...that's per multiple posts on tinboats.net - that's the place to go for info on aluminum boats and modifying them.
  5. 1: How heavy a braid are you using on that spinning reel? - Personally, 20# is as high as I go - even on the MH/F spinning rig 2: Are you keeping the braid under tension as you spool it up? - Yes, even more tension than you'd use for Nylon or FC.
  6. The only way to fly.
  7. Actually it will.... buddy of mine in the Air Force had one and one late night out west of Omaha, we hit 100 in that thing.
  8. I don't think I'll get anywhere near 88mph with this rig...
  9. For that I'd need a jet-drive - I'm just looking at a 15hp-20hp 2-cycle.
  10. If you know the reserve capacity - you can calculate the AH (Reserve*60*25)/3600 = AH
  11. No pics today - but items completed Finished rigging power from the 35ah to the fuse box - had to get the right size ring terminals Route cables and connect at load end to the following items - electrical compartment end is still 'loose' - Bilge pump - two cables...one supplies power for the float switch activation, the second allows me to engage the pump on manual - Livewell fill pump - Aft pole light - Aft USB ports...this plug in is for the aft camera and the tablet when I'm using it at the 'helm' Cable for bow lights is run, but there's things I need to do like paint at least the first few feet of the outside hull at the bow before I can mount the lights and wire them in. It's a pair of short, strip lights that I'm mounting just under the rub-rail either side of the bow-cap...yes, they are USCG approved.
  12. It's called a 'Cover Support Bow' I had those on the F-9 - removed them as I'm going a different route for the cover.
  13. Well that converts to about 85AH - I'd leave about 1/2 of that at minimum to have enough to start the motor. Livescope pulls about 3amps - so 42/3 is 14 hours. You should be good Note; Formula to convert Reserve to AH is: Reserve (in minutes)*60*25/3600
  14. All depends on the reserve capacity. Drain it too much and it won't start the motor.
  15. (blinks) My previous phone, an ancient Galaxy S-4 was capable of this...man you gotta stop being a part-time luddite.
  16. Lowrance has a 'portable power pack' add on that will handle most of their 5" and 7" units. https://www.lowrance.com/lowrance/activity/ice-fishing/portable-pk-5-7-hook2elite-ti-us/ Humminbird also has a portable pack for the Helix 5 or 7 - have to add your own battery though https://humminbird.johnsonoutdoors.com/accessories/cases-covers/ice-ptc-chirp-h5-fb-portable-ice-kit-w-chirp-ice-transducer-helix-5
  17. Also - what's the AH rating of the battery you're using now. If it's a Gel or AGM - multiply that AH by 0.60 to get it's "true" AH. Get below 40% charge on one of those and you start having issues.
  18. Amps * time = AH used Lithiums can be drawn down to near 0% charge without degrading performance So 3amp draw * 10 hrs = 30AH for a Lithium...add a bit for safety factor or more time
  19. Why not - you can get one's that are pretty cheap. I have two of these... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B2W96JH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 All the vids and screen shots I've put up the past couple years came from them. Add an external battery like this one https://www.amazon.com/Portable-20000mAh-Charging-External-Compatible/dp/B094G1GL8T/ref=sr_1_20?crid=GSMB8QTHZV8M&keywords=Portable+Power+Battery+Bank+Pack&qid=1650235153&sprefix=portable+power+battery+bank+pack%2Caps%2C163&sr=8-20 And drop in a 128gb card (yes, despite the Vision 3 saying 32gb, I use a 128gb in it with no problems) Under $100 total, and you can film all day long.
  20. I'll spend upwards of 10 minutes to pick out a (infrequent) backlash...then set that rig aside and use something else until I'm home.
  21. That's pretty much the way I fish off-shore. Even if I see fish on the graph, if they don't bite after 5-6 casts of 4-5 different lure types, I'll move to another likely spot. Bank fishing for me is the opposite - since the shore fishing spots around here are few and far between, I'll toss everything (sometimes including the kitchen sink) trying to catch a fish for a couple hours before pulling up stakes, loading the truck and going to the other bank spot.
  22. Need to install the electrical before mounting the deck pieces - so on the 1/4" FRP blocking the electrical compartment from the general storage compartment, I made a panel from 1/16" FRP and glued it in place. Backside - it's a short distance to the fuse box from here. This part is the recirculating system. Switch connects/disconnects the pump from the programmable digital timer which controls the cycle. Timing has 5 modes and can be anything from 1sec to 999 hours. Selecting seconds for the timing type and Mode 5, the top window shows how long the circuit is active, the bottom shows how long the circuit is inactive before turning the circuit back on and repeating infinitely. Setting 30 and 270 - it'll be 30 seconds of pump on, then 4:30 off...rinse and repeat.
  23. They'll survive here in MN as long as the poachers stay away
  24. When I upgraded from my old Galaxy S-4 a couple years ago (ya, I hung onto that relic for almost a decade) I went with the Galaxy A51. This thing has been rock-solid. Still happy with AT&T after 25 years...
