  1. https://www.youtube.com/c/bassresource/videos That'll bring up the list of all videos, sorted by date posted...newest first.
  2. Go for it - in the 6 months since I signed up for their rewards program I've earned $10 in store credit. And I haven't shopped very often in that time-frame.
  3. Glenn puts out quality 'how to' vids...despite other sites putting out similar, his vids are my main go-to for short, succinct, informative vids. Keri's comments are a hoot at times...
  4. For me, there's only one answer in that price range Dobyns Fury 705CB - I've used mine for three seasons now and am very happy with it.
  5. Buddy - I had that truck for 18 years living in the same place I am now. Other than a couple times I had to rock it to get out of the driveway, never had a problem. Course, I took my behind-the-wheel training in Bemidji, middle of winter, in a 76 Ford LTD. Strange feeling when you come to a complete stop at a stop sign...then the car starts sliding towards the curb...that's the conditions I learned in. Also - other than a '84 Jeep Cherokee that I had for 3 years, and the current Silverado I've had for 6 years...all my vehicles were RWD...and other than the 4 years in the Air Force that I was in Omaha, I've driven in MN since 1976. It's all depending on what you're experienced with. Oh - and in the six years I've had the Silverado - I think I've dropped it into 4WD maybe half a dozen times.
  6. I want my old '98 WT-1500 back. V-6, 2WD, 5-speed manual...sucker got 27mpg highway...ya, that was the stated rating and a trip from MN to MA proved it to me.
  7. 30mph in my old 14' Runabout was just fine for me - no need to go faster IMO.
  8. Ya - short shaft...and I'm looking for 15-20hp...25 if the price is right. While the boat is rated to 35...I think I want to keep it under 30. #1, #3 and #4 in your links are out of my budget #2 would work - but Pine City is a haul from here...and if it doesn't work...can I go back to him? Reason I'm looking at Kirby for my motor...he lives here in Mound, guarantees his work...and the prices are in my range.
  9. 35 - according to the original pamphlet...guy I bought it from had that too.
  10. Kirby always lets you stand-test the motor with muffs so you know you're buying a good motor Last 25hp he had up - he'd replaced the magneto, rebuilt the carb, replaced the impeller and changed out the gear-oil - ran like a champ.......was asking $950
  11. Ya - even if he was asking 2/3 what Kirby asks for a rebuilt 25 - the shipping charges would probably even it out.
  12. Don't have a motor yet - that's going to be 'last minute' purchase. I'm looking at 15hp-20hp actually...used...more in my budget. Local guy here - use to own/run Kirby's Bait Shop (one of the ones that closed down some years back)...he's kept up his Johnsonrude certs even though he's 'retired'. Makes extra money buying old, non-working 3-25hp Johnsonrudes, rebuilds them, then sells them.
  13. Oh the four boxes in the rear of the casting deck will be for tackle boxes and misc storage. There's going to be another pair of boxes (different dimensions) that'll be the plastics storage.
  14. Not a pass - just on hold...super-tight budget, so initial batteries in the F-9 (1x100ah for TM, 1x35ah for 'housekeeping') are going to be AGMs. Unless you want to contribute?
  15. You're only a couple months older than me - and in much better shape. Mine doesn't have them, I do have to shift my butt a bit once I'm in as I can't sit right into position on initial entry...but I wouldn't have them...one friend's truck I keep barking my shin on when I'm trying to get into. I like the clean lines without those 'things' sticking out the sides.
  16. Okay - so I lied...really only needed one more dry-box framed before I could work more on the front-deck framing. Slowly coming together - got the casting deck starboard main support in...probably work on the port-side tomorrow...after I finish bending the tabs down level on the starboard support. The two dry-box frames are just sitting in there, still have to get cross-members to fully support them. One box has it's base cut and inserted.
  17. Already tried that a couple weeks ago - the last time you mentioned it. Hasn't helped.
  18. And I'm cringing because it hit $3.99 here the other day. I have a 'cheat' - grocery shop at Cub, for every $100 spent, get $0.10 per gallon off at Holiday...of course, right now I'm sitting on a $0.30/gallon discount with a 3/4 full tank in the truck.
  19. Omnia - same price as TW https://www.omniafishing.com/p/vmc-crossover-ring-10pk
  20. Another reason to shop elsewhere. Unless they don't carry it (Tatsu, YZH) I get all my line from Fleet Farm - their regular prices are often lower than other's sale prices. Free shipping - no minimum purchase either - on most of their fishing lines.
  21. Battery on/off switch should be the first thing in the sequence - then to a fuse/breaker box and each item should have it's own fuse/breaker...one for the Power Poles, one for the bilge pump, one for the lights, etc-etc-etc. Switches between the fuse/breaker and item would also be a good idea.
  22. Red Label and AbrazX were their bottom lines...I could get AbrazX from Fleet Farm for $20 a spool...Red Label for $15 But since FF also has InvizX for $20 a spool for 12# and under - I just go with that. I tried AbrazX once - stripped it off the reel after only one trip and went with InvizX...now the rest of the AbrazX spool is delegated to leader material.
  23. I've mentioned a couple times in the past two months about this issue happening with me. Signed in, shows me as signed in, click on a topic...and now I'm a guest? I'm running FireFox myself - and this is getting to be an annoying problem.
  24. Mopar, AMC and GM - that's all I've owned the past 45 years.
  25. 7-speed is my general, all around gear ratio.
