  1. I'm with Chop ^ - MH/F for chatters here too. But the 705CB is a great crank-rod.
  2. Comets in size 3 to size 5 have been a standard part of my repertoire for decades...they work.
  3. MN Fisher replied to Heron's topic in Fishing Tackle
    I don't bother - they're cheap enough that I just replace them
  4. Funny...I wish...course I'd want an F-12 if it was a fighter jet.
  5. This 'buying season', I've already purchased one reel (used Patriarch for $98) and I'll be buying one rod when the big sales start. That's gonna be it for tackle this year - rest of my 'Yule gifts' are going into the F-9.
  6. If the batteries were purchased at the same time - the other is probably close to going as well. When replacing batteries, you want all the ones in the bank to be identical. That holds true whether it's a 24v TM, or a 12v and you have the batteries in parallel. Putting a new battery with an older one - the new one will perform as 'badly' as the old one. Even batteries of the same stats, if from different manufacturers, can be different in how they take a charge and discharge. So, a two-bank system...replace them both at the same time, and both batteries should be same brand/model.
  7. Or the Fuego CT I use my Fuego CT 6.3 for all my cranks when using casting gear.
  8. Guess I'm a weirdo - I prefer my fish as 'unadulterated' as possible. Some butter, a little salt, a little pepper and into the broiler it goes.
  9. 1: Use artificial baits 2: Find a lake that doesn't have crayfish Really - those are your options. If there's something edible, crayfish will find it and eat it...they're scavengers, it's what they do.
  10. For the budget angler - which I am one of - I recommend Seaguar InvizX.
  11. If I dumped all the hard baits and plastics I owned in a tub - I don't think I'd even fill a 66qt. Holy-cow, Allen - that's a lot of lures.
  12. Welcome to the wonderful world of marine electronics - people rely on the GPS much-too-much when the accuracy isn't there to justify it. Now if you had several thousand dollars to toss into a GNSS system (type surveyors use for GPS locating), then you could trust it...those are accurate to inches...but systems start at around $10k...and that's just for the GPS and maps.
  13. From the site's Privacy Statement "BassResource will share your personal information that you voluntarily submit with third-party marketers only after you have provided explicit consent to do so. " https://www.bassresource.com/fish/Privacy.html So you gotta tell Glenn to share it before he will - you don't give permission, he don't do it.
  14. I picked up one LT frog when it was on deep-sale at the local Dick's. While it's decent - it's not worth the normal price...I'll stick with my Booyah's
  15. It's worse than that. "Garmin® GPS receivers are accurate to within 15 meters (49 feet) 95% of the time. Generally, users will see accuracy within 5 to 10 meters (16 to 33 feet) under normal conditions." https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=aZc8RezeAb9LjCDpJplTY7
  16. If you believe in that sort of thing...some of us don't. There's a reason Religion is a forbidden topic on this board.
  17. Omnia's running 25% off on all Rage Bugs through Monday - in stock only. https://www.omniafishing.com/p/strike-king-rage-bug/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=blast-weekly&utm_campaign=25%+Off+Strike+King+Rage+Bug&utm_content=?+3+days+only+-+25%+off+Strike+King+Rage+Bug
  18. Ya, we got smallie river fishers around here - unfortunately I'm not one of them, but... @FryDog62 - Chris...can you help this gentleman?
  19. Lucky for me - my wife is in charge of paying all bills.
  20. Buy one for me, daddy?
  21. Dude - when challenging someone to a wresting contest, it's Tyr or Vidar - not both at once.
  22. 24m is the group number. They have to be 12v for a marine system. There should be other numbers - like CCA and Reserve Time - that's the info we need. Yes, again the Duracells are going to be 12v - there should be some other numbers like Reserve Time or even ##AH as well as a Group number - 24, 27 and 31 are standard for marine batteries.
  23. When I was doing rapid/hard jerking in the canoe - even that would turn it's nose. Just something you're gonna have to deal with IMO. The old canoe.
  24. You can also look at Facebook Marketplace with a radius of miles from your location...that's where I found the Alumacraft I purchased.
