  1. Fletcher's - order online and they bring it out to the dock.
  2. Or put a trailer on that is 'bulky', either in body size or with larger appendages. The water resistance of that will slow the ROF.
  3. Depends on the jig type: Swim Jigs - 3/8oz or 1/4oz - about 75%/25% Football - 1/2oz or 3/8 - about 70%/30% Flipping - 1/2oz or 5/8oz - about 80%/20% Finesse - 1/4oz or 3/8oz - probably about 60%/40%
  4. Well, I know what I won't be eating...
  5. Most commercial jigs rate the weight on the head only - so yes, a 3/8oz jig you buy in the store actually weighs more than that with the hook and skirt added.
  6. That upper one looks like a Scotty base. Dunno what that bottom one is.
  7. Now comes the hard part 34 days to Bass opener...
  8. Light or Medium-Light rod for finesse My 1000-size rigs Avocet RZT-1000 on a Procyon L/F - ultra finesse President-25 on a Dobyns 702SF ML/F - general finesse
  9. Plano 3618 - 18 fixed compartments.
  10. Bigger question - how many active in the last 3-4 months?
  11. Build a frame of 2"x2" just high enough to get a PVC tube between it and the roof, clamped to the topper/truck junction. Strap the PVC tube to top of that. Best thing I can think of.
  12. How long is your bed, how long are your rods. If the bed is longer than the rods... Lash a PVC tube up over the wheel-well, under the lip...to the topper clamps probably. Reels come off, rods go in the tube. Even when I carried large cargo in my older truck, that space was always available.
  13. If I have to carry the rods in the truck - the extended cab gives me enough room to put the butts on the floor of the passenger side and lean them back across the seat-split. I don't have any rods longer than 7'0", so they can all fit. Inside storage, I use it.
  14. Well, I follow Seth for two reasons. 1: He's one of the 'home town boys' (Austin Felix being the other) 2: His favorite lake when he's home is Minnetonka - my lake. He's done a lot of vids featuring 'Tonka and how to fish it...best learning for me there is.
  15. Transmission on my 2001 Silverado 1500 has never given me a problem, so don't know anything about 'issues'.
  16. President 25 is only 7.5oz - I like mine for general finesse work and it's smooth enough. Only reel I have that's lighter is my Avocet RZT-1000 - which clocks in right at 7oz. Problem it, you want lighter spinning reels, you gotta go to a metal frame (magnesium or aluminum), and none of those are 'cheap'. Supreme-25 is 6.6oz, but retails at a bit over $100.
  17. Well, it was primarily for panfish that you'd toss in a pail (metal, they didn't have plastic pails back then) so you could take them home for eatin'...so they weren't too worried about crushing damage cause it was going to be gutted and fried anyway.
  18. Says right on it - 'Fish Gripper'. Instead of a jaw holder like we use today, this goes around the body of the fish to hold it and keep your hands slime-free.
  19. Ya, that's my issue as well...and no pass-through window either.
  20. I still got Seth going strong and moving up the ranks - 1053 pts so far for this tourney.
  21. Or they just bite it off - which happened to me last year.
  22. Fairy Wand = derogatory term for spinning gear.
  23. That's how you do it - congrats on the catches.
  24. I just started with an 8.1:1 and never looked back.
  25. Well, for flip/pitch I like a fast reel and have a Diawa Fuego CT-XS - which runs around $100 For $250 you can get the Diawa Tatula Elite Flip/Pitch reel There's plenty of other brands and models between those two that would work fine for flip/pitch...too many to list really.
