Gear Ratio Help
6.8:1 (28IPT) is a little faster than I like for crankbaits, but that's the one I'd pick out of the pair.

Coffee - Whats your brand and how do you drink it?
That reminds me of a winter hunting/camping trip I took. We had a perk-pot for the fire, overfilled it with water so the grounds were sitting in the water. By the time it started perking, it was done...we let it perk for another 40 minutes. Talk about thick.

Looking for some expert advice.
One thing most have in common - internal tanks that are very small - less than 2l (1/2 gallon). So you'll be constantly refilling it while on the water.

Pre-spawn & Water Temperatures
NWS should have that - notice on the right under 'More information' is '3 day history' It's an hour-by-hour chart.

What lure is this? Help
Ya, if it wasn't for that - I'd take it for a Tennessee Shad.

Uses for a Curado DC 6.2:1
I don't have a Curado - but 6.2:1 screams crankbaits to me.

If it's illegal - don't follow the herd...don't do it just because others do.

Pre-Rigging
Pre-rigging - the night before I go out in the canoe, I spend time figuring what I want to toss first on any of my 10 combos - then tie them on. Cutting off a lure and tying a new one on is only a couple minutes, if that. I personally don't like the way snaps affect the action, so everything is direct tie or tied to split rings on the lure. Now I could use snaps instead of split rings - but if I put something on that rig that doesn't use split rings, then I'd have to cut the snap off - then retie that if I go back to something that'd use it. Too much of a hassle for me. Only rigs I use swivels on is a Carolina Rig or a Donkey Rig.

Computer Problems
I always went through the update list and clicked off/hid those I didn't want. I forget which ones, but there's a few that permanently turn off the Win-10 update 'bug'. I haven't been nagged by that one in years. Win-7 Pro-64 on the desktop Win-7 Pro-32 on the netbook Happy to stay right there...thank you.

Computer Problems
Let's upgrade that - I got a Win-95 install CD here.

Coffee - Whats your brand and how do you drink it?
Depends - I'm someone who occasionally brews a double-espresso straight up for the quick wake-up it gives me...some mornings I need it - I got a 2-shot espresso machine that stays in the cabinet most of the time. Undiluted cold-brew sounds right up my alley.

Things To Do During The Freeze
Well, that'd go well with the old thread on plastic weight. I should get going on the last canoe mods - been kind of a slacker the last few weeks.

Winter 2020-2021
Depends on the source. If stream/river levels drop, then ya for a lot of lakes. Spring-fed lakes should be okay, but they're few and far between up here.

How Much $$$ on a Heavy Rod
In this case, it's about warranty. Aird-X has a 1 year warranty, Fury has a limited lifetime warranty. Also, it's a bit more responsive so it makes twitching frogs a bit easier - next year my Aird-X is changing to either a Fury or Sierra...ran out of funds for this year.

How Much $$$ on a Heavy Rod
If you can swing another $20 over that $100 - go with a Dobyns Fury. I would say the 765Flip - that'll handle the 2oz swimbaits.

Baitcaster vs Spinning Reel
If I'm casting into heavy cabbage - BC Finesse - Spinning All other techniques - doesn't matter.
